About the Conference:

The conference is THIRD in a series of biennial conferences on studies related

to ancient India and Vedic civilization . The first ‘International Conference on

Revisiting Indus-Sarasvati Civilization & Ancient India’ was held in Atlanta

(GA), in October 1996. The second ‘International Conference on New Perspectives

on Vedic & Ancient Indian Civilization’ was held, August 7-9, 1998 in Los

Angeles, California.

 

Academics and scholars are invited to submit papers on Archaeology &

Anthropology; History & Social Sciences; Language, Literature & Linguistics;

Science & Technology; Ayurveda, Health & Martial Arts; Vedas & Upanishads;

Smrities; Puranas; Epics - Ramayan & Mahabharat; Contemporary Works & Issues;

Philosophy; Dharma-shastras, Ethics & Rituals; Agriculture, Plant Sci. &

Ecology; Women; etc.

Accommodation: Organizers have reserved accommodation in dormitories of ‘Steven

Institute of Technology’ and are negotiating special rates in nearby

hotels/motels. It is hoped that the following conference rates will apply:

$35.00 per night on double occupancy basis

Participants are free to make their own arrangements.

 

NEW YORK - NEW JERSEY: New York is a major world center. It has numerous places

of tourist interests. Temperature in NY-NJ area, during July end period, ranges

from 85 to 90 celcius.

 

TRAVEL INFORMATION: Hoboken is about 12 miles from Newark International

Airport, NJ, 25 miles from JFK Airport, New York, and 15 miles from LaGuardia

Airport, NY. Persons from outside USA may find it convenient to reach JFK

Airport. New York. From JFK Airport, one can take taxies, limos, or Local Trains

to Hoboken.

 

Sight Seeing: There are several world famous visiting place in close vicinity of

Hoboken.
