Guest guest
Hello, Yes, I've read Holy Science by Swami Yukteswar Giri and he showed how the errors crept into the yuga calculation by multiplying each year of the solar year as 320 years of Daiva years or something like that. Recently I've finished reading the book Lemurian Scrolls written by SatGuru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami of Hawaii Irivan Temple. According to him, we started Satya Yuga approx. 100 to 200 years ago if I may recall. But certainly Sayta yuga started as per him. And we all know about what the traditional vedic scriptures say about yuga cycles. So there are atleast 3 theroies I know of and they all have their own merits. Is there not reason to debate whether or not we are presently in Kali Yuga? > > According to Sri Yukeshwar's calculations as described in his book, The Holy Science, we are presently in the 299th year of the ascending Dwarpara Yuga. I believe his case for this calculation to be rational, sound and compelling. I realize this is probably not news because Yukteshwar wrote his words in 1894, but it warrants mention. > > As a servant and devotee of the Guru Principle, the Grace-Bestowing power of God, these words ring true for me. For anyone who has yet to read The Holy Science, I recommend it. > > ------ > eGroup home: http://www.eGroups.com/list/vediculture > Free Web-based e-mail groups by eGroups.com > ------ eGroup home: http://www.eGroups.com/list/vediculture Free Web-based e-mail groups by eGroups.com
