Not only the Bhagavatam, but the Vishnu Purana also asserts that Mahapadma

Nanda ascended the throne 1000 years after Krishna's death, which puts the

beginning of the Kaliyuga at about 1500 BC. So the discrepancy is not

merely in miscopying of numbers in the Bhagavatam, but also in virtually

all the authentic puranas.
