Guest guest Posted November 15, 1999 Report Share Posted November 15, 1999 One ape used to say: "You'll regret your choosing that Darwin as your leader" - that's how Saveliy Kashnitskiy is starting his article in the widely circulated "Moskovskiy Komsomolets", or MK, as russians call it. He is sarcastic, but not only that, offering a revised theory of the Charles Darwin, yet from another end. "Mauglization of the human race" - referring to a Kipling's hero, Saveliy describes history of the modern man as an involutionary process - process of simplifying species of life. Quoting the book of the German antropologist Frantz Veidenreich, he lists the findings of the gigantic man - meganthrop, which later dissappeared from public display, obviously, due to "introduction of darwinian way of thinking", - writes Saveliy. His previous article "Progressing debils" had an angry reception by the group of Russian scientists, who demanded a disclaimer, which appeared in the beginning of the next article by Saveliy: "Not all human race succumbed to involution, the aforementioned group of biologists do enjoy having an ape ancestor". We are degraded descendants of the more perfect beings, - reasons author, citing not only lore of greater ancient civilizations, but also artefacts dating back to 200-300 mln. years.
