Guest guest
The Following is a direct quote from the Book, "The Vikings of the Pacific" written by one the greatest Polynesian scholars, Sir Peter H. Buck. From New Zealand, he was half Polynesian/Maori and was the of the famous Bishop Museum in Honolulu for 20 years..1936 till 1951. In other words he is accepted as a foremost scholar on the topic of Polynesia. He directly concludes that India is the probable origin of the Polynesians. At he end of the chapter entitled "Whence Came They?" he writes... "The Rarotongan genealogies go back for ninety-two generations to the ancestor Tu-te-rangi-marama who dwelt in a land that the scholar Percy Smith believes to be India.".... "We may sum up the present position by saying that in far remote ages the ancestors of the Polynesian people probably did live in some part of India and worked east"... End quote.
