IDRF is administered by volunteers without any honorarium or overhead. Thus,

100% of your contribution will be disbursed directly to the NGO. During the

past decade, IDRF has raised almost ($5 million) $5,000,000 to various

charitable organizations in India, including $20,000 for the 1992 Uttarkashi

(UP) earthquake victims, $300,000 for the 1993 Latur (Maharashtra) earthquake

victims, $30,000 for the 1996 coastal cyclone victims(AP), $315,000 for Kargil

Relief and $550,000 to the victims of Orissa cyclone. Please help your fellow

brothers and sisters in India who are affected by drought.

As a tax exempt organization IDRF is eligible for cooperate matching gift

programs. IDRF also welcomes gifts of appreciated stocks of substantial value.

IDRF will channel your generous contributions to the voluntary, non-governmental

organizations (NGOs) which have a proven track record of humanitarian services

and have been engaged in the relief and

rehabilitation of victims in the past.

Appeal to help Earth Quake Victims of Gujarat IDRF releases $20,000 for the

relief activities. A severe earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale and

with the epicentre in Gujarat rolled across the entire Indian subcontinent on

Friday, rocking buildings in cities situated as far apart as India's Chennai

and

Pakistan's Karachi.

Union home minister L K Advani said the death toll could be more than 1,000.

The toll in Ahmedabad has already mounted to 260. Initial reports said

Ahmedabad, Surat and and the coastal town of Bhuj bore the brunt of the quake.

Ahmedabad reported 200 deaths followed by Bhuj (150), Surendranagar (54), Surat

(27), Jodia Taluka in Jamnagar district (25), Bhavnagar (5), Navsari (5), Patan

(4) and Rajkot (3), state home department spokesman K Nityanandam said.

We urge you to help the victims of this horrific earthquake. Donations to IDRF
