Guest guest
Mr. Oaks, As a member of Vedica, I wish to personally welcome you to the list. I have learned much and been inspired by your book Our World Vedic Culture. I hate to beat the potatoes out of the issue, but I have always been curious about the true dating of the Buddha Avatar, as well as the history and development of Buddhism since that time. I have also been curious as to what the Vedic world was like just after the Mahabharat war. There seems to have been advances techonoly in existence before the war, this is described in the Puranas. You know, there are vimanas and such mentioned, weapons controlled by mantra, ayurvedic healing through the chanting of mantras and such. But afte the war Arjuna had to accompany the wives of Krishna from Dvaraka to Hastinapur by land, by cart or wagon, it seems, and the journey took months. Was the technology destroyed in the war, something like that? Dharmapada
