Guest guest
BELOW IS A REPONSE TO THE EDITOR OF ISKCON'S WEBSITE, CHAKRA. AFTER I SENT THEM MY ARTICLE, PRABHUPADA, PURE AND BLAMELESS vediculture/message/1488 CHAKRA'S EDITOR WRITES: I deleted "The other 10% obviously want the big money being promised." as you really can't know what motivates them all as well as your statement about someone doing this because she was a born again Christian. No need to dump on Christians. I did leave your later speculations about the money motivations though, so your thoughts on that come throough. The only other thing I think we'll change is the setences in all capital letters. That's against Chakra policy. I think you'll be "heard" anyway. I RESPOND: Hello, This subject actually opens up many old wounds, so what follows may seem a bit intense. So I apologise in advance. It would of been better if you wrote to me asking my permission to change my article, instead of informing me that you have already amended it. Actually this article was written after much thought and discussion with former schoolmates that have joined the case and basically they told me straight,"We want the money and it will take blaming Prabhupada to get it." Actually I wouldn't mind the money, but not at the expense of defaming and slandering my Spiritual Master, Srila Prabhupada.(Not in the Rtvik sense, but directly initiated which makes it even more important that I speak out loud and clear.) Your right, I can't speak for all the plaintiffs, but I do reserve my right to report what I have heard and properly understood directly. Editorials are supposed to be the opinions of the writer about public topics and are bound to be opinionated. That is their very nature. Editorials are supposed to be the author's impressions and perspectives and writing about people's motives is a valid subject. The perceived dumping on christians is your speculation. It is just an old political reality that the Hare Krishna movement has been and remains a target of Born Again Christians. Watching CBN regularly will confirm this fact, besides the many publications by so called christians, directly attacking hare krshnas as a devil cult. There is a major onslaught against Vedic Info carried out by so called christian groups. These topics just happen to be my field of expertise. (As for Lord Jesus Christ and Mother Mary, I worship them daily, so I can't be labelled a religious bigot.) I never stated that BECAUSE she is a christian..but her obvious false reports are of such a malicious nature they can only be recognized as attacks bent on destroying the sacred reputation of Prabhupada's movement. Oh.... unless she is doing it to gaurantee a settlement or a court victory.... for the money. How many of these people would be in the suit if there was no money being offered? Its a logical deduction and the need to speculate does not arise. If it was just to set the record straight, they could write books about it.If it was for justice they would target the perps and not the whole movement, including Prabhupada. Basically, forgive any offense, but if you see my honest opinions, based on reality, to be speculations, it is probably best that you don't post it on your website. I didn't send it out to merely just be "heard", but I am intending to add my real memories to the public record. After much thought, many months, and a deep frustration with the repeated horror stories on the internet every time I look up Krishna or related topics, I wrote this editorial. I am being heard in an arena much larger than VNN or Chakra. I just thought the devotees would be happy to hear about this topic from someone in my unique position. And yes the Movement was officially targeted, I have the FBI documents to prove it. So, I don't mean to be so sensitive but I would say that the tone of your message has been the most dismissing response I have received so far....I should be use to that by now, but I am not. Finally, I respectfully remind you that I am not your reporter to be edited by you. So if you don't want to post it as it is, don't post it. It is high time ISKCON recognizes our authority on this subject and makes some sort of attonement.... Such as letting us assume the roles Prabhupada demanded of us.Despite Iskcon's failures, I am succeeding quite well in carrying on Prabhupada's mission.
