Jaya Jagannath! Dear Jyotisha, esp. Visti, Pursottam and the others who answered, Pranam. After getting your feedback about the different speculations in regard to Jesus Christ's chart, let's here reveal now the true chart. The date was given according to Hebrew calender, thus speculation regarding calender changes etc. are of no use here, since Hebrew calender has not changed over the many years. So there cannot be any doubt about this, besides the date has been given by Christ Himself: 3759 in the Jewish calender, and they are now in 5761! Let us first check the history, to cancel out the doubts of the sceptics. In the Gospel of Lucas we find very accurate historical descriptions of Jesus Christ's birth: when Augustus was emperor and Quirinius had the legacy over Syria, the emperor had the desire to have a counting of the populace in his entire empire. Quirinius was the first one to execute this order, and the Gospel goes on to tell that at that time the parents of Jesus started traveling, during which He was born. It also states that in the 15th year of the government of Tiberius (28-29 AD) Jesus was about 30 years old and He was crucified at the age of 33. Counting backwards that brings us to 2 BC! Now what about the question that Herod was still alive when Jesus was born? Well, the history books mention his death in 4 BC, so how could it be? Indeed, this is where history books go wrong. He didn't die in 4 BC, he died in 4 AD! And history books find a gap between 4 BC and 4 after Christ. E.g. they don't know who was the next one having legacy over Syria after 4 BC, untill which Varus was there. But look a little closer, history books describe the first counting of the populace by Quirinius in 10 BC - take out the gap of 8 years and you get 2 BC! Let's have a look at the chart now. Date of Birth: March 21, 2BC (1 BC if your software has year 0) Time of Birth: 5:45:00 am (just before dawn - 24 min before sunrise) Time Zone of Birth: 2:21 East of GMT Longitude of Birth: 35 E 13 Latitude of Birth: 31 N 43 +----------------------+ | | | | | | HL MerR | Sun | Sat | | | | | Ven | | | Asc BL | | Mar | | | A10 | | UL | A7 A2 | |-------------|---------------------------|-------------| | | | | | | | | | | | Ket | | | | | | A3 GL | | | |-------------| R A S I |-------------| | | | | | | | | | Rah | | JupR | | | | | | A5 AL | | A9 | |-------------|---------------------------|-------------| | | Mnd | | | | | | | | | | Glk | Moo | | | | | | | | A6 A8 | | | A4 A11 | +----------------------+ Planetary positions: Sun 1:35 Asvini Moon 4:57 Chitra Mars 15:13 Rohini MerR 23:08 Revati AK JupR 3:49 Magha Ven 4:17 Krittika Sat 6:03 Krittika Rahu 15:04 Sravana Ketu 15:04 Pushyami (I'm not exactly sure of the nodes, my software gives Aquarius for Rahu and Leo for Ketu) Mercury retrograde is atmakaraka, becoming a neechabhanga raja yoga planet because of being retrograde in it's debilitation sign. 8th from atmakaraka is also 8th house from ascendant in Libra (Balance - THE CROSS) aspected by Mars and Saturn, giving a violent death, but Jupiter aspects also, indicating that he would cause His own death. Venus, lord of the 8th aspects also and Venus in the 3rd gives knowledge of the time of death - indeed, He predicted His death to be near. Now, Moon in the 8th, being a karaka for the occult and coming in the 8th house would give him knowledge of the occult sciences (He drived out spirits, walked on water, cured sick people etc) and would give also a public death. 5th lord Moon in the 8th is not good for children, though A5 in the 11th would give him disciples and Rahu being there would give many disciples, while Saturn being the lord might give worries on account of them and even some may turn against Him (e.g. Judas). A9 lord is exalted Sun (in vargottama) and Jupiter is there, indicating a very dharmic life. Remarkable is also that Jupiter is in D-60 in kulagnamsha in 5th showing that He would be going against the tradition - He did not follow the rules and regulations of Jewish tradition (e.g. picking grains on the sabbath etc...) and spoke very strong against the jet set of Hebrew rabbi's who were just attached to the rules without any heart for devotion. Furthermore, check this chart of His crucifixion: Sun in trines to A8 indicates the possibility of death, the ascendant is Libra, His 8th house, the sun eclipse happens in His maraka rasi of the 2nd house with Jupiter in it and all planets (except Ketu in the lagna) are in 3rd and 6th from AL. crucifixion chart: Apr 10, 31 AD, Jerusalem 3-6 pm (He died at about 6 pm) (Skyglobe gives the sun eclipse on Apr 12, this may be due to some inaccuracy of the software or calender changes -it was a Friday) +----------------------+ | | MerR Rah | HL | Ven | | | | | | | | Sun Moo | | Mar | | | | | | | | Jup | | Sat | |-------------|---------------------------|-------------| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | AL | | | |-------------| R A S I |-------------| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |-------------|---------------------------|-------------| | | | | | | | | Asc | Glk | | | | | | | | GL | Ket BL | Mnd | | | | | | +----------------------+ In regard to the 'bright star' which was leading the sages of the East to where He was born, this must have been Venus. Since it is in front of the Sun, it was seen as the bright Evening Star in the Western sky. Your sishya, Dhira Krsna dasa
