Guest guest
When Pakistan Pres, Gen Musharaf came back Qazi one-by-one introduced him to the guests. I had the occasion of talking to him for about five minutes. I told the General that the struggle for freedom by the Kashmiris is not a struggle of the Muslims of the Valley alone. The Kashmiri Pandits were as much a part of it as anyone else. I told him that it was the Kashmiri Pandits who started the struggle for freedom in 1931 and presented him with a copy of the book 'The 'History of Struggle for Freedom of Kashmir' written by my father Pandit Prem Nath Bazaz. The Pakistan President heard me and smiled. I also told him that the militants were targetting the Pandits during the early stages of the movement but now they cannot do the same as there were hardly any Pandits left in the valley to target.
