Guest guest
There is an interesting poll up about the Moon, http://skywebsite.com/hollow/realmoonhollowmoon/id16.html The Puranas of India describe luxurient vegetation on the Moon as well as beautiful gardens, lakes and parks. But Apollo astronauts have supposedly gone to the Moon and found no life and no water, either. This would seem to spell the end of any belief that one could put in the Puranas. Even so, when A C. Bhaktivedanta Swami was informed that America had sent astronauts to the Moon and that the scientists had reported that there was no life there, he answered that " They are hardly conversant with the planet on which they are living." He also affirmed that " They never went to the Moon." Maybe the Puranic descriptions correspond to the hollow portion of our Moon and not the surface we see. As far as Luna's surface is concerned, 30 years after Apollo, when we investigate alternate analyses on those supposed landings, what do we find? We find obvious incongruencies, such as pictures of the LEM rocket engine sitting a meter above the Lunar soil, with no disturance underneath from its blast. We see Apollo photos of diverging shadows on the surface of the Moon, photos showing glare, including atmospheric glare on the horizon, and so much more. Guest guest
Dean, One of these "obvious incongruencies" that you speak of is due to the fact that dust falls as quickly as a bowling ball or a boulder in a vacuum. Dust clouds are caused by suspension of small particles in an atmosphere, and the Moon doesn't have an atmosphere. Are you maintaining that it is impossible for us to land on the Moon? Do you believe that the International Space Station is a fantasy? How about communication satellites, some of which are used by this internet that you don't mind using? What about all the pictures that we are receiving from the Galileo spacecraft which orbits Jupiter? Jupiter is over a thousand times farther away than the Moon. What planet have you been living on all these years? :-) Ron Message: 10 Tue, 14 Aug 2001 20:06:06 -0300 "Dean De Lucia" <0108 Re: Moon Poll > I am astounded, once again, that anyone could be so credulous as to > believe that the Apollo program was a hoax. To believe that the > moon landings were faked is equivalent to swallowing a blue whale.
