Guest guest
I am astounded, once again, that anyone could be so credulous as to believe that the Apollo program was a hoax. The ignorance of science that this attitude displays is absolutely stunning. Jesus spoke of people who strain at a gnat but swallow a camel. To believe that the moon landings were faked is equivalent to swallowing a blue whale. Many passages of scripture throughout the world are meant to be understood by their allegorical, not necessarily their literal, meaning. Please do not lead yourself any further astray. I assure you that it is a certainty that the moon does not have an atmosphere and is devoid of carbon-based lifeforms. Neither it nor the Earth is or has ever been hollow. Caves exist, certainly, but the law of gravity prevents large empty spaces from existing deeper than a few miles underground. The weight of many miles of rock above any such hollow would collapse it. God does not play games with his creation. He set up laws for the universe to abide by, such as gravity, and he expects his creation to follow them. If planes of creation other than the physical (namely, the astral and causal planes) exist, and I believe they do, then they may well operate under different laws, and perhaps certain scriptural passages may be more properly understood as applying to these different realms. Other passages are certainly highly symbolic and allegorical and, again, are not meant to be taken literally. It took the Catholic Church nearly 400 years to recently apologize for its error in forcing Galileo to recant. Were enough people to believe ideas such as you espouse, another Inquisition would soon follow. The Dark Ages and the kaliyuga are over. Please get used to it. The rest of us are waiting in the Dwapara for you to join us. But Apollo astronauts have supposedly gone to the Moon and found no life and no water, either. This would seem to spell the end of any belief that one could put in the Puranas. Even so, when A C. Bhaktivedanta Swami was informed that America had sent astronauts to the Moon and that the scientists had reported that there was no life there, he answered that " They are hardly conversant with the planet on which they are living." He also affirmed that " They never went to the Moon." Maybe the Puranic descriptions correspond to the hollow portion of our Moon and not the surface we see. As far as Luna's surface is concerned, 30 years after Apollo, when we investigate alternate analyses on those supposed landings, what do we find? We find obvious incongruencies, such as pictures of the LEM rocket engine sitting a meter above the Lunar soil, with no disturance underneath from its blast. We see Apollo photos of diverging shadows on the surface of the Moon, photos showing glare, including atmospheric glare on the horizon, and so much more.
