Updated on 2001-09-16 12:49:13 ?LAHORE, Sep 16 (PNS): Regretting the colossal loss of human lives, people from all walks of life deplored the unprecedented terror strikes in the United States but termed these attacks as a backlash of the hostile foreign policy adopted by America over decades while pursuing its antagonistic interests. In a survey conducted by Online, people of the provincial metropolis unanimously declared the American demand for using Pakistan's air and ground space in intruding Afghanistan as an assault on country's sovereignty. Member of American Bar Association and renowned lawyer Arif Chaudhry said that the tragic incidents were a recoil of America's misdeeds but urged Pakistan to implement the UN resolutions on counter terrorism. On whether or not to allow US in using Pakistan's soil for attacking hideouts of Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan, he said that we should secure our own interests while making the decision rather than the American ones. Hafiz Abdur Rehman Ansari who is the member of Pakistan Bar Council replying to a query said that being itself a worst victim of terrorism, Pakistan condemns it in strongest terms but would not give an inch of its territory for an incursion into Afghanistan. "We must extend our moral and diplomatic support and sympathise with the bereaved nation". Other people commenting on the horrific incidents in the US that completely changed the global scenario apart from shaking the super power asked it to take notice of the state terrorism unleashed by India in the occupied Kashmir and by Israel on the innocent people of Palestine, that too under the unwavering support of America, leading deaths at a much larger scale. "The US nation must stop discrimination between human bloodshed if it wants to learn lessons from the darkest moment of its glorious history". They termed it a possible Jewish or Russian conspiracy to bring the entire Muslim Ummah under American outrage and wrath, which it exhibited, against Japan at the conclusion of the Second World War.
