Vedic Culture Members;

Please accept my respects.

Since September 11 there has been a surge of postings to this

interest group which is understandable but perhaps not appropriate. The

majority of these messages have little or nothing to do with Vedic culture.

The politics between Indian and Pakistan is not, in my opinion, "Vedic".

Contemporary political issues have always popped up in the Vedic

Culture interest group and I have waded through them reluctantly to extract

the Vedic topics which are of interest to me and why I joined this group.

Now however, there has been a huge surge of posting that are just repeating

what I can easily get from main stream media and only conjests the interests

of the members of this group. I suspect some others share this conclusion

because some of you have mentioned it to me.

It is my vote that those who wish to post messages related to

contemporary political issues occurring in India and that region, start

their own site and not load down things to this one. In my opinion this

has always been inappropriate but has now reached an intolerable level.

Perhaps some others would be willing to share their comments about

this. If enough people feel the same way and say so, then those who are

posting Non-Vedic documents might demonstrate the courtesy to stop doing it

here and start their own interest group. If not then I for one will

discontinue my participation in this forum.

Hoping this finds you nicely engaged in the service of Lord Krishna.

Hijack drama aimed at discrediting us: Pak

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Wednesday alleged that the "hijack" of an

Alliance Air flight from Mumbai to Delhi was a "drama" stage managed

by Indian intelligence agencies to discredit Islamabad.

Reporting on the incident, state-owned Pakistan Television (PTV) said

the "drama" proved right an alert sounded by Pakistani intelligence

agencies on October 2 that India was chalking out a plan to enact a

hijack in order to project Islamabad in bad light in the

international community.

The television said intelligence reports circulated on October 2 by

private news agency NNI and published in some of the newspapers on

Tuesday cautioned that Indian intelligence agencies planned to hijack

a plane of a big airline and bring it to Pakistan to get Islamabad

declared a terrorist state.

Pakistan government had also issued orders not to permit the plane to

enter the country's airspace in the event of an aircraft being

commandeered there, it said.

The PTV report alleged that the "hijack" drama followed attempts by

India to attribute the October 1 suicide bombing outside Jammu and

Kashmir assembly to Islamic militant outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad.
