Guest guest
Vrin, Current events in India are a natural interest for followers of Vedic dharma. We can't separate what is happening right now from our interest in Vedic dharma, because it is not likely that that war is going to be so contained, and India, our spiritual homeland, is right in the same neighborhood. At the same time, rather than event-by-event, banal developments, I think that postings which share insights and perspectives are more appropriate for us. Maybe you can school us on the types of postings that we should be contributing, and orchestrate things. Make no mistake, though- Vedica is a great list! Dharmapada [world-vedic] Currrent Wars in Vedic Regions Dear Esteemed Members,The currrent events involving the ancient Vedic regions of Pakistan=Sindh+more & Gandhahar=Afghanistan, are very relevant topics to anyone interested in the living ongoing Vedic culture.Vedic culture is more than an ancient culture of times long gone, but is rather a living, breathing and continuous ongoing cultural phenomenon. Thus current issues related to India, such as its survival, are indeed relevant.I apologise for any disappointment or frustration experianced from posting of seeminly off-topic messages. I will try to tone it down but if a member truly feels their message is relevant, I can't deny them the right to share it.I recognise the diverse interest of various minds and pray to strike a balance but I personally post anything sent except Aparadhs/blasphemy and known disinformation etc.if you set yr membership to receive daily digest, you can get just the headings of messages. This may relieve the burden. I can also look into starting a current events file or something. At Your Service,Vrin ParkerThis is an information resource and discussion group for people interested in the World's Ancient Vedic Culture, with a focus on its historical, archeological and scientific aspects. Also topics about India, Hinduism, God, and other aspects of World Culture are welcome.
Guest guest
Dear Dharmapada, Jaya Vaishnavas. Thank you very much for this kind message. I also appreciate your contributions and hope we can continue to have an exciting, dynamic and diverse group of members. Its definately a balancing act because I have also received messages thanking me for posting political current events esp if its an ignored story. i have also been impressed by messages that seemed to beat the mainstream press by 2 weeks in some cases. The internet has actually forced the mainstream media to be more upfront with information. The problem now is that there is information overload.
