Guest guest
Below is a list from the Indian Embassy website. It is a list of their official holidays. It includes 2 Muslim holidays, One Buddhist Holiday, A Sikh Holiday, US Independence Day, Gandhi's Birthday, Christmas, Diwali etc. but no Holiday in honor of Lord Krishna. Krishna, the source of the Bhagavad-Gita. Bhagavad Gita means the Song of God. So the logical conclusion one gets from the title is that Krishna must be God. A number of other titles could have been chosen, but it was specifically given the title "The Song of God" or Bhagavad Gita. India, as the source of the Bhagavad Gita, has the auspicious obligation of glorifying its message to the world. Honoring the Speaker of the Gita, Lord Krishna, with an official Holiday would be very beneficial to the world at large. Lets not forget the very source of the modern word Holiday=HOLY DAY. The Birthday of the Singer of the Divine Wisdom of the Gita, Lord Krishna, predates nearly every other holiday on the calender. The Wisdom of the Gita has been soothing hearts and inspiring people for thousands of years. Holidays are being celebrated in order to honor Prophets, Saints and Leaders, they are celebrated because these people inspired and uplifted humanity. So why ignore a Holiday dedicated to the Speaker of the Gita? The teachings of the Gita have been inspiring and uplifting humanity hundreds of years before the Bible, Koran, Sabh Granth, Declaration of Independence etc. It is only proper and honorable of a nation like India to show gratitude to its own past. Rather India has succumbed to a psuedo secular ideal that gives minorties a right to everything above and beyond the rights of the oppressed majority. Any expression of tradition, culture and spirituality by the Hindu majority is portrayed as fundamentalism etc. In fact the psuedo scientific worlds of Darwinism, Family Planning, Marxism, Nazism and Secularism are nothing more than Atheitsic Faiths. Based on unproven theories that are constantly changing. People are sorrounded by suffering in a world that has been the victim of an atheistic, secular and industralized Agenda for more than a century. Rather than solving the world's woes, modern science has brought humanity to the brink of cataclysm. As a society, America is falling apart, because it lacks the spiritual values that have sustained the World's most populous and continuous civilization, India. So please email India's Consular Dept and encourage them to celebrate Krishna's Birthday, Janmashtami.
