Namaskar,

 

Since only some Pandits translate the ceremony from Sanskrit into English most

of us go through various ceremonies without really knowing the meaning of what

is being said. I was fortunate to come across English translations of the

following ceremonies by Jnana Prabodhini, Pune.

 

1. Naming Ceremony.

2. Thread Ceremony.

3. Marriage ceremony - an Uncle of mine who read this translation said 'How I

wish I had read this whilst getting married. I might have had a different

married life altogether'.

4. Ceremony for entering a new house.

5. Ceremony on Completion of 60 or more years.

6. Funeral ceremony.

7. Enshrining Ganesha.

8. Worship of Shri Satyanarayana.
