Thus it is a study for circulating to provide information and if possible get feedback. Your servant GioVani AMARA AJNAYA VERSE STUDY (AAVS) (2001) The Solution to ISKCON's Problems & Fulfilling of 500 year old Predictions by GioVani Submitted to the Hare Krishna Movement formal and informal, internal and external Devotees December 2001 ABSTRACT: This summary is based on logic. It concerns Caitanya Mahaprabhu's "amara ajnaya" verse. This is a very important and interesting verse quoted by His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and also by various devotees especially when discussing initiations and guru. The results of the study prove the foremost importance of His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada for all practical time, humanity, Krishna Consciousness, permanent diksa guru status within ISKCON and the world and the international ritvik structure. Furthermore, the study has the possibility of ending all arguments and infighting regarding initiations and guru within ISKCON and the removal of all bogus diksa spiritual masters within and outside ISKCON. DEDICATION: This study is dedicated to His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder of the Hare Krishna Movement, International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), His Divine Grace's book publisher Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT), ISKCON Revival Movement (IRM) and devotees. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: This is again His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder of the Hare Krishna Movement, International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), His Divine Grace's book publisher Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT), ISKCON Revival Movement (IRM) and devotees. DECLARATION: This study is original in its evaluation. It evaluates the "amara ajnaya" verse of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. A similar version of this summary study was written on December 12 and 14 2001 on a website in the comments section, in response to an article published on December 12 2001 on a website which was critical of "The Final Order" (1996). It should be noted that once there were comments posted critical of this article, all comments were deleted. The previous version of the study had some errors and omissions because it was an urgent response. Also when writing the study, "The Final Order" (1996) had not been read. First there had been only two hypothesis, then another three were added and this time another two have been added, making it a total of 7 hypothesis. The study is a short summary study and not a detailed with various quotes, translations, references, bibliography or with a devotee scholar background. It is not the intention that this summary study contain errors and if there are apologies are requested from the readers. It is assumed that readers will be familiar with "amara ajnaya" verse, initiation and guru. This study is applicable to all genders and ages. INTRODUCTION: The summary study concerns the "amara ajnaya" verse of Caitanya Mahaprabhu that has been quoted at times by His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and also by devotees especially in relation to initiations and guru within ISKCON. The quotation of the verse on a website that was critical of "The Final Order" (1996) has given the opportunity to evaluate the verse and to make it into a summary study. Purpose of the Study The "amara ajnaya" verse of Caitanya Mahaprabhu is very important and interesting. Though short it is very meaningful. It is a very important verse that has been quoted many times to support His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada with reference to initiations and guru. This obviously has been noted by various devotees also. Thus the purpose is to evaluate the "amara ajnaya" verse only in context of initiations and guru which the "amara ajnaya" verse is all about. Review of Literature The only external review of literature has been "The Final Order" (1996) that has various references to the verse. It should be mentioned though that this is not a devotee scholar background work. The only important matter noting is what the verse means when translated to english language. For this the greatest authority and originator of this subject can be relied upon, His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Thus one of the places the verse can be located is 77-04-15 Room Conversation Bombay: His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada says, "...Therefore Caitanya Mahaprabhu said, amara ajnaya guru hana tara' ei desa. He asked everyone, "Just become guru." Follow His instruction..." The verse thus requires serious evaluation. It concerns everyone-- all humans, it is worldwide--global, in timing--timeless and God and guru communication to human--instruction. The verse originates from Caitanya Mahaprabhu, a devotee incarnation of the Krishna and Srimati Radharani, the eternal consort of Krishna. Research into initiation and guru will find typically the following schools: 1. Permanent Ritvik School: View that that His Divine Grace is the sole diksa / initiator guru of ISKCON permanently relying on correct in depth substantial orders, evidence and research (see "The Final Order," 1996). 2. Temporary Ritvik School: View that His Divine Grace is temporary sole diksa guru of ISKCON but other disciples can become physically present diksa gurus replacing His Divine Grace relying on twisted evidence. 3. Multiple Physically Present Diksa School: View that disciples inherit diksa guru status by votes relying on twisted evidence. 4. Sole Physically Present Diksa School: View that one disciple can be chosen relying on twisted evidence. These views are available more in detail within "The Final Order" (1996). Justification of the Study But the devotees who also have therefore relied on the verse have been arguing and debating about His Divine Grace's instructions regarding initiations especially in the long term. Various views, groups and schools have therefore resulted with arguments, court cases and even violence amidst the gradual disintegration of ISKCON through not following the initiation instructions of His Divine Grace and all other instructions. Papers have been published by various camps to put their views and agendas across and the progress in understanding has been very slow. This is surprising when the teachings of Krishna Consciousness are very esoteric and deep. Thus it will be useful for: 1. Following the initiation instructions of His Divine Grace. 2. Following all other instructions of His Divine Grace. 3. Development of the Hare Krishna Movement. 4. Reconcilation between opposing groups. 5. World at large. So far there has not been an in depth study on the "amara ajnaya" verse of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. It has been often quoted by devotees but perhaps as more a support for their main objective rather than being the main objective itself. It is the purpose of this summary study that the "amara ajnaya" verse of Caitanya Mahaprabhu translated by His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada be its main and only objective. Research Questions Research questions from "amara ajnaya"verse, initiation and guru relationships: RQ1: What happens when every human is a spiritual master? RQ2: What is the result when all humans are spiritual masters? RQ3: Is there a status quo of spiritual masters and those who are not, always envisaged? RQ4: How can all humans become spiritual masters? RQ5: What happens to diksa and siksa gurus when all humans are spiritual master? RQ6: What is the consequence if His Divine Grace has given permission for diksa gurus? RQ7: Is there a seniority hierarchy when all humans are spiritual masters? Research Hypotheses The research hypotheses are all original and are not based on any previous work. The hypotheses are as follows: H1: Every human has become spiritual master as per instructions of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. H2: Further to H1, to facilitate Krishna Consciousness in these times, His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is one type of siksa and diksa spiritual master and the other type are siksa spiritual masters. H3: Caitanya Mahaprabhu asks all humans to be spiritual master not that there be some humans that are spiritual master and some that are not. H4: All humans can only become spiritual master only through His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada rather than a physically present diksa spiritual master. H5: No physically present diksa spiritual master can take the place of His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. H6: To avoid problems from happening with Caitanya Mahaprabhu's plan for all humans becoming spiritual masters, His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta has chosen not to have physically present diksa gurus. H7: There will be seniority hierarchy in a world where all humans are spiritual masters. Limitations of Study All hypothesis are based on the "amara ajnaya" verse. The results of the "amara ajnaya"verse can only be therefore from the "amara ajnaya"verse. The only additions are knowing the definitions of diksa and siksa gurus (see "The Final Order," 1996). METHODOLOGY: There are various reasons for this research. What happens to future initiations within ISKCON is the main reason. This has impacts to nearly all areas like for example philosophy, management and structure. Statement of the problem ISKCON is going through a key stage in the learning curve. A wrong decision may mean that ISKCON may never recover and may completely self-destruct. However, it has chance to succeed in today's world if it can learn quickly from it past and present mistakes regarding initiations. Over the last 24 years there have been many debates, papers and arguments. In Krishna Consciousness there is no such thing as compromise on orders and instructions of His Divine Grace by any devotee, otherwise they would not be a devotee. The main paper that has been the main focus of debate is "The Final Order" (1996). It has had and is continuing to have a great deal of success, with many devotees agreeing that the final order is the international ritvik system. Whereas the approach in writing "The Final Order" (1996) has been to look at all recorded items like books, papers, letters and audio, the approach for this study is look at only one quote, that is the "amara ajnaya" verse. This is to end all arguments regarding initiations and the position of His Divine Grace once and for all and get back to the serious missionary work. Design of the Study The reason for the study is to evaluate the "amara ajnaya" verse. It is translated into english by His Divine Grace. Thus there should not be a problem in understanding it in detail. Study Method Firstly, the "amara ajnaya" verse was read, then the translation was read and understood. Secondly, the first key hypothesis, H1 was put forward, relating to the fulfilment of the "amara ajnaya" verse, i.e. a scenario when all humans are spiritual master. This allowed the study to have focus, structure, parameter and further evaluation. Thirdly, the diksa and siksa spiritual masters were evaluated. Fourthly, the diksa and siksa spiritual masters were applied for the first key hypothesis, HI. Fifthly, through logic the diksa and siksa spiritual masters in the world where all humans are spiritual masters (see H1) was applied in a step-by-step approach. Sixthly, the results gathered were evaluated and re-evaluated many times to prove whether any of the hypothesis was correct or incorrect. Data Collection Instrument A series of questions were asked for each hypothesis gathered through the "amara ajnaya" verse. "The Final Order" (1996) was read with other questions being factored in into each of the hypothesis to prove if they were correct or incorrect. There were results of some hypothesis that needed to be re-evaluated and amended after reading "The Final Order" (1996). Various `If', `What if,' with the measure `Will the humans progress spiritually this way?' and `Is this the best way to progress spiritually?' questions were used almost like a decision tree diagram. RESULTS: Using various questions all 7 hypothesis were evaluated. There was gradual development in the hypothesis as there were two, then three and then two further hypothesis. Result Analysis H1: Every human has become spiritual master as per instructions of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. All humans were visioned to spiritual masters. H2: Further to H1, to facilitate Krishna Consciousness in these times, His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is one type of siksa and diksa spiritual master and the other type are siksa spiritual masters. Example of business development from bricks and mortar to online was used. H3: Caitanya Mahaprabhu asks all humans to be spiritual master not that there be some humans that are spiritual master and some that are not. "Everyone" as spiritual master scenario was compared to some humans as spiritual master and some not scenario. H4: All humans can only become spiritual master only through His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada rather than a physically present diksa spiritual master. "Everyone" as spiritual master was comparison between everyone being siksa guru and everyone being diksa guru. H5: No physically present diksa spiritual master can take the place of His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Class-based spiritual masters were compared with equality relationship of brotherhood. H6: To avoid problems from happening with Caitanya Mahaprabhu's plan for all humans becoming spiritual masters, His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta has chosen not to have physically present diksa gurus. The siksa guru or the diksa guru was compared for all humans based on what route they would spiritually progress most. H7: There will be seniority hierarchy in a world where all humans are spiritual masters. "Everyone" being spiritual master was compared with seniority or hierarchy levels. Hypothesis one was: H1: Every human has become spiritual master as per instructions of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. On basis of this there can only be humans that are spiritual masters. These can be in any positions in society. Some may have followed ISKCON formal training and some may have followed ISKCON informal training. Some may be internal ISKCON and some may be external ISKCON. Hypothesis two was: H2: Further to H1, to facilitate Krishna Consciousness in these times, His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is one type of siksa and diksa spiritual master and the other type are siksa spiritual masters. On the newsstands there is a popular magazine "Business 2.0" focusing on a new type of business, online businesses. The name of this magazine implies that there is "Business 1," bricks and mortar or offline businesses. In a similar way there is "Spiritual Master 1," His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and "Spiritual Masters 2," all humans potentially as per instructions of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. The international ritvik system of His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada proves this. Hypothesis three was: H3: Caitanya Mahaprabhu asks all humans to be spiritual master not that there be some humans that are spiritual master and some that are not. What this means is that there should not be always a class of humans that are spiritual masters of Krishna Consciousness and a class that are not spiritual masters, mentioned by Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Hypothesis four was: H4: All humans can only become spiritual master only through His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada rather than a physically present diksa spiritual master. It cannot be through various diksa spiritual masters as all humans can become spiritual master of equal position as per Caitanya Mahaprabhu; and as there cannot be spiritual master equality relationship of brotherhood between a physically present diksa spiritual master and a disciple or a physically present diksa spiritual master and his physically present diksa spiritual master; thus Caitanya Mahaprabhu saying that everyone become spiritual master cannot be on basis of becoming a physically present diksa spiritual master but on basis of becoming a physically present siksa spiritual master. Hypothesis five was: H5: No physically present diksa spiritual master can take the place of His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Class-based spiritual masters for all humans are not mentioned by Caitanya Mahaprabhu, `those who is physically present diksa' and `those that are physically present siksa,' but all are equal in inter-relationships, being physically present siksa spiritual masters. The equality relationship of brotherhood between physically present siksa spiritual masters can only be when the diksa spiritual masters are not physically present. Also the international ritvik instructions which is for the objective of Caitanya Mahaprabhu wanting all humans to become physically present siksa spiritual master does not bring about a successor physically present diksa spiritual master. If there are physically present diksa spiritual masters then they do not act as physically present diksa spiritual masters but instead as physically present siksa spiritual masters forming an understanding alliance that follows His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada as the one and only diksa spiritual master for ISKCON and humanity till humanity remains humanity. But when there are physically present diksa spiritual masters, it is like for example the material world political map, with each country representing each physically present diksa spiritual master and each country or spiritual master having its own separate structure. Caitanya Mahaprabhu's objective is that everyone become spiritual master and this requires His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada to be one and only diksa spiritual master for ISKCON and all the world, till humanity remains humanity. Therefore for example, this is a spiritual borderless world without countries model. Hypothesis six was: H6: To avoid problems from happening with Caitanya Mahaprabhu's plan for all humans becoming spiritual masters, His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta has chosen not to have physically present diksa spiritual masters. Caitanya Mahaprabhu has given a gift to all humans to become spiritual master. However so as not to create obstacles on the path of progress of humans that have become siksa spiritual masters, to become physically present diksa spiritual master is not an option, as otherwise this creates problems for them as they are not diksa spiritual masters themselves because their diksa spiritual masters might be physically present. Even if they could be physically present diksa spiritual masters still there would not be the equality relationship of brotherhood with their physically present diksa spiritual masters. Thus, His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, a maha-bhagavata spiritual master, who could order a physically present diksa spiritual master has not given the option to disciple/s to become a physically present diksa spiritual master. "Everyone" can also mean guru or spiritual master is one and thus every conditioned human become that one. Also note that Caitanya Mahaprabhu has "everyone" to become spiritual master that means "everyone" was not spiritual master – it is to align and unify all humans with this superior method. His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada says, "There is one Bengali proverb, guru-mara-vidya. "Guru, you learn from him first of all, then kill him. Don't care for guru." This is demonic" (76-10-04 Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.7.44 Vrndavana). Hypothesis seven was: H7: There will be seniority hierarchy in a world where all humans are spiritual masters. Even though when everyone is "Spiritual Masters 2" then the inter- relationship between them is of similar status (e.g.1. Pentiums or e.g.2. Servers) though the advancement between them will be different (e.g.1. Pentium 1, 2, 3 or 4 etc or e.g.2. small or industrial servers). All 7 hypothesis are founded to be correct. The conclusion is that the "amara ajnaya" verse is for a international ritvik system with His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada being the sole diksa spiritual master within ISKCON. This goes to show that the maha-bhagavata disciplic succession is very special and has a built- in divine plan for all humans with a safety plan against bogus gurus. DISCUSSION: The reason of this summary study was to evaluate the "amara ajnaya" verse fully by a series of hypothesis. All 7 hypothesis were correct. The hypotheses are all based on the Caitanya Mahaprabhu's objective to make all humans into spiritual masters. With one quotation, the "amara ajnaya" verse, it can be proven that it is incorrect to oppose His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada's international ritvik structure within ISKCON. It has been a long time that instructions of His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prahupada concerning future initiations have not be followed, some 24 years and therefore the instructions need to be followed as soon as possible because time is of the essence. SUMMARY & CONCLUSION: So the question is why has there not been a study on "amara ajnaya" verse? This is a key verse quoted especially on topic of initiations by His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada on various occasions. It can also be argued that the "amara ajnaya" verse should have been one of the first papers to be published so that some of the debate, argument, court case and violence, over the last 24 years could have been avoided and the real missionary work commenced. This verse should have been especially evaluated further because it was quoted in very important contexts of initiation and guru. However, it is now known what the "amara ajnaya" verse is and it goes to show conclusively after scientific evaluation that His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is the diksa spiritual master for all humans for all future time till it is possible for humanity to remain humanity. Therefore "The Final Order" (1996) should be accepted. The study also shows that modern Krishna Consciousness was predicted hundreds of years ago by Caitanya Mahaprabhu and through the years these objectives have been carefully preserved by the disciplic succession and brought about at the right time, place and circumstance by His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in the form of one permanent diksa spiritual master for ISKCON and humanity, the facilitation of modern Krishna Consciousness globally through ISKCON, BBT and devotees. Time is of the essence for ISKCON to follow the international ritvik initiations instructions of His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami. If the international ritvik initiations instructions are not followed then this is going against Caitanya Mahaprabhu and the disciplic succession which would be demonic with the Lord's and the disciplic succession objective being hindered. Advantages of this Study This summary study has the potential to end all arguments concerning initiation and guru and for the real missionary work to fully begin and become manifested as intended by His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and Krishna. This "amara ajnaya" verse study was very important as it has never been carried out to this extent before. Time is of the essence and the results of this study based on clear logic are very important because they go to show that His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada's whole purpose is to inundate the whole humanity with Krishna Consciousness via the international ritvik structure for as long as it possible for humanity to remain humanity. The study also shows that all this was predicted some five hundred years ago by Caitanya Mahaprabhu and thus the great importance of His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the international ritvik system, ISKCON, BBT and devotees. APPENDIX A: Quotations Courtesy of ISKCON Revival Movement (IRM): The actual verse is as follows: yare dekha, tare kaha 'krsna'-upadesa amara ajnaya guru hana tara' ei desa TRANSLATION "Instruct everyone to follow the orders of Lord Sri Krsna as they are given in the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam. In this way become a spiritual master and try to liberate everyone in this land." (C:C, Madhya, 7:128) "In the next verse Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu advises everyone to become an ideal householder by offenselessly chanting the Hare Krsna mantra and teaching the same principle to everyone he meets." (Purport, 7:127) "This is the sublime mission of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Many people come and inquire whether they have to give up family life to join the Society, but that is not our mission. One can remain comfortably in his residence. We simply request everyone to chant the maha-mantra: Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare. Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. If one is a little literate and can read the Bhagavad-gita As It Is and Srimad- Bhagavatam, that is so much the better." (Purport, 7:128) "Instead of living engrossed in material activities, people throughout the world should take advantage of this movement and chant the Hare Krsna maha-mantra at home with their families. One should also refrain from sinful activities--illicit sex, meat-eating, gambling and intoxication. Out of these four items, illicit sex is very sinful. Every person must get married. Every woman especially must get married. If the women outnumber the men, some men can accept more than one wife. In that way there will be no prostitution in society. If men can marry more than one wife, illicit sex life will be stopped. One can also produce many nice preparations to offer Krsna--grain, fruit, flowers and milk. Why should one indulge in unnecessary meat-eating and maintain horrible slaughterhouses? What is the use of smoking and drinking tea and coffee? People are already intoxicated by material enjoyment, and if they indulge in further intoxication, what chance is there for self-realization? Similarly, one should not partake in gambling and unnecessarily agitate the mind. The real purpose of human life is to attain the spiritual platform and return to Godhead. That is the summum bonum of spiritual realization. The Krsna consciousness movement is trying to elevate human society to the perfection of life by pursuing the method described by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu in His advice to the brahmana Kurma. That is, one should stay at home, chant the Hare Krsna mantra and preach the instructions of Krsna as they are given in the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam." (Madhya 7:128, Purport) "One only has to follow the instruction of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, chant the Hare Krsna maha-mantra and instruct relatives and friends in the teachings of the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam." (Madhya, 7:130) "It is best not to accept any disciples." (Madhya, 7:130, Purport) "To protect His preachers, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu has given much clear advice in these verses of Sri Caitanya-caritamrta." (Madhya, 7:130, Purport) "That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mission. He said, "Every one of become guru and deliver your surrounding persons, either you are in family or in neighbourhood or in society or in nation, as much as you can." Amara ajnaya guru hana tara' ei desa. So whatever limited circle, you just become guru and deliver them. [...] Very simple thing. If I say that "My father said, 'This is a bell,'" I am correct because I have learned it from my father, authority. I may be fool, rascal. It doesn't matter. But because I have learned it from the authority and presenting it that "This is a bell," this is perfect. [...] Similarly, our position is that "We have got a message from Krsna. Take it." So we have no difficulty. Anyone can say. If you study Bhagavad-gita nicely, assimilate and repeat it, it will act. Krsna says, man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru. We are teaching that "You always think of Krsna. You become a devotee. You worship Him and offer your obeisances." It doesn't require that you become very learned scholar. Anyone can do. A child can do. That's it. We are teaching. Where is the difficulty? Hm? Is there any difficulty? Why don't you do that? Why you are making so big, big program without any effect? Take the simple thing, program, and preach everywhere. That is being done." (Room Conversation, 11/5/77, Hrisikesh) ''This country' means wherever you are living, you can become guru and deliver them. And one may say that 'You are asking me to become guru but I have no qualification.' A sincere man will say like that, 'How can I become guru, and how can I deliver this country?' Caitanya Mahaprabhu says it is not difficult...'' ''...Caitanya Mahaprabhu encourages. He says that amara ajnaya hana tara ei desa: 'Wherever you are staying,' ei desa, 'in that country... You may not go outside, but wherever you are staying,' amara ajnaya, 'by My order,' guru hana, 'you must become a guru''-- If we actually want to become guru, there is necessity of many thousands of gurus to teach this cheated public. But how to become guru? That is... Caitanya Mahaprabhu says, amara ajnaya: 'By My order.' 'What is Your order, Sir?' Yare dekha, tare kaha 'krsna'- upadesa. Then you become guru. You simply advise people to follow Krsna's instruction. Then you become guru." (741202SB.BOM Lectures) "Therefore Caitanya Mahaprabhu... Yare dekha tare kaha 'krsna'- upadesa: "You become guru. No qualification required. Simply you repeat what Krsna has said." Just see how simplified. Don't talk anything nonsense. Yare dekha tare kaha 'krsna'--bas. So who cannot do it? Anyone can do it, even a child. (laughs) Our Syamasundara's daughter. She was preaching, "Do you know Krsna?" They said, "No I have got no...The Supreme Personality." This is preaching, simply if you say that "Krsna is the Supreme Personality, supreme controller. Just be obedient to Him." Where is the difficulty? Anyone can preach. Chant Hare Krsna. Bas. Three words: Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead; surrender unto Him; and chant Hare Krsna. Your life will be successful. What is the difficulty in preaching these three words? Hm? Is there any difficulty? Even a child like Sarasvati, she can preach. Then what to speak of others? Those who are educated, grown-up, advanced, they can put the matter more nicely, more convincingly, more philosophically. That is another thing. But these three words, that "Krsna is the Supreme Lord; you are servant; and chant Hare Krsna"--bas, preaching complete. Very simple thing and the sublime instruction. Everyone can become guru by simply teaching these three words." (Room Conversation, 25/1/77) REFERENCES: Desai et al (1986) `The Final Order' ISKCON Revival Movement (IRM). New York London Calcutta.
