"If they do heed to our appeal, we are willing to forget the atrocities committed by successive Muslim rulers," Temple to be built irrespective of party in power: Bajrang Dal The Bajrang Dal on Saturday said its parent outfit Vishwa Hindu Parishad was determined to go ahead with the construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya from March 15 'irrespective of whichever party comes to power' in Uttar Pradesh. In a slight change of tone and tenor, the Bajrang Dal also appealed to the Muslims to return to the Hindus the three disputed shrines at Ayodhya, Varanasi and Mathura and offered to do Kar Sewa for building a mosque outside the Parikrama (circumambulation area) of the Ram temple. Bajrang Dal's national convenor Surendra Jain said that the process of temple construction in Ayodhya would begin with the shifting of built-up pillars from the workshop at Karsewakpuram to the Ram Janambhoomi site. The VHP's temple campaign is not related to the state elections in any manner, he said. He also appealed to the Muslims 'not to put obstacles in the way of Ram temple construction and instead return to Hindus their three important shrines at Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi'. "If they do heed to our appeal, we are willing to forget the atrocities committed by successive Muslim rulers," Jain said.
