Gudi Padwa tomorrow - Naye Varsh ki Shubh Kaamnayein. On this occassion have

changed the home page of www.esamskriti.com to make it more user friendly. Tell

me how yu like it.

 

You must have read about the riots in Kalyan, a town near Mumbai. A large group

of Muslims got together and killed a Shiv Sena worker, apparently on some

flimsy grounds. Friends have you realized, what is common between Godhra and

Kalyan?

 

After visiting Ayodhya and reaffirming their support for the construction of the

Ram Temple Hindus were burnt alive at Godhra. On the day Shiv Sena Chief

Balasaheb Thackeray asked for the construction of the Ram Temple at the party's

convention at Shirdi a Sena worker was killed in Kalyan. In both cases large

groups of Muslims attacked Hindus, was it pre-planned!

 

The message Muslims are giving Hindus is that sweety if yu talk about the Temple

at Ayodhya death awaits you. Around the same time President Musharraf warned

India that Paki patience is running out in Kashmir, could use Nuclear Weapons

to get Kashmir. Here again there is a threat - blackmail may be a crude word.

My mind goes back to 1946 - give us Pakistan or yu will get Direct Action said

Jinnah - the massacre that followed is well known.

 

Be it the Moplah Rebellion in 1921-22, Direct Action of 1946, Mumbai riots of

1992-93, Godhra-Kalyan of 2002, or Indo-Pak Wars it is always Muslims who have

attacked Hindus. Has the sub-continent Muslim mind changed? (please let me know

when have Hindus attacked first).

 

Some of us have said, the Sena deserves it. Surely some of you might not like

the Sena but friends two things, one let us learn something from our Muslim

brothers - they never criticize a fellow Muslim in public - so the Sena's

shortcomings notwithstanding I would urge you to direct your anger elsewhere.

Two no human being is perfect so is the Sena. Mumbaikars would agree with me

when I say that had it not been for the Sena the Muslims would have done a

Godhra to us.

placate the Mahomedans was a false diplomacy. Instead of trying to achieve

Hindu-Muslim unity directly, if the Hindus had devoted themselves to national

work, the Mahomedans would have gradually come of themselves…. This attempt to

patch up a unity has given too much importance to the Muslims and it has been

the root of all these troubles.'

 

Unfortunately we Hindus are perpetually reacting and rarely on the offensive.

The Marxists of West Bengal mix politics with education and governance yet none

of us me included has taken the battle into the opposite camp.
