I was born and brought up in >Bhowanipore which is near Kalighat temple in Calcutta. Ramesh: I have seen many organizations that serve the people. But all these organizations were not exempt for audit. No one is questioning the service the organization is providing to the helpless but the author was questioning the Government of India's partisan attitude towards Teresa's organization. I believe that no organization (weather religious or not ) should be exempt from audit. Law enforcement should not be biased in performing its duties. > I have seen myself the care that was given to the dying. Together with our children, me and my >fellow Rotarians, we had God's blessings of being able to work hand in hand >with the nuns and mother in Sishu Bhavan, Sealdah project etc.. We know >first hand how these projects were handled. We can vouch the difference she >has made in those people Ramesh: Recently there the press uncovered a scandal in Boston. The priests from this Christian catholic church sexually abused the children and the church did not take any action even after knowing the horrible acts committed by its priest. Some church goers never knew that such a thing was happening in their church. According to your logic the neither the priest nor the Church should not be investigated by the law enforcement because they have done some good to relieve the suffering of the people. Don't you see the problems with your logic? How dare you critocize her? Ramesh: Is this a threat? We are living in a free society not India. Every person is entitled to freedom of speech in USA. Free speech is corner stone of a free society. There is no law that states that the public figures are exempt from criticism. Teresa may be a god to you but don't expect that from every one. > You who have not moved your finger for helping any body in the world, can only have this type of >mentality of asking what has happened to the money. Ramesh: What a hypocrisy? Previously you dared Chandora's right to criticize and not you are resorting to baseless criticism. > First help the needy, >poor and the people who are dying in the street , spend your time, energy >and money day after day, year after year, Have no profit motive (fame etc.) >in doing these, then and then only you may earn some credit to look into >these type of things. Ramesh: How do you know that Dr. Chandora has not done service to the mankind? One thing I can say for sure about Dr. Chandora is that he has not built any organization that scoffs at audits. He has been helping the community and also the poor for years. In spite of being a busy doctor, he has taken out time to build a non profit organization to help people. > By the way, Do you ask your religious organisation (if you have any religion) or your social charitable organisation these type of >questions? Ramesh: Inquiry is the corner stone of human mind development. How can we become better humans without an inquisitive mind? Any religion or organization that puts breaks on the questioning process turns human into a retard. > Rememer service to these children, poor &dying people was told By >Swami Vivekananda as service to God. Before Mother Teresa the only >organisations that took care of people (though not exactly these type of >people) are Ramkrishna Mission and Bharar Sevasram Sangha. At least work >with them, see how thing are done and then reply my e-mail. > Everybody has his/her own believe. We should try to >appreciate other people's good work before criticizing them . Ramesh: I agree with you that we should appreciate the good work but also have the courage to condemn the bad. Criticism and aprreciation is individuals prerogative. If an individual wants to criticize not appreciate then it is his right. If an individual wants to appreciate but not criticize then it is also individuals right. I dont think appreciation is required to to exercize the right to criticize. But if you want to appreciate before criticizing then you have every right to do so. Remember >everybody has some good quality, we must try to enrich our good qualities by >adopting other person's good quality that we do not have. That is the only >way all of us will improve and make this world a better place to live in, >not by criticising each other aaaaaand not helping others to come out of >their trouble. You have yor Sri Sri MA Saroda used to say " Do not see >fault in others, see your own fault". Let us all try that. I know i have not >followed it by criticizing you. Ramesh: First you say that we should adopt good qualities of others and then you tell not judge people. Do you see a problem here. How can you know the good in others without judging them? To know good and bad one need to develop discriminating intellect. Ramesh: So, according to you no one should be judging others. So does it mean that we should not have any Judicial System because we judge people? Do you keep quiet when your children commit fault or would you look at self? You have yor Sri Sri MA Saroda used to say " Do not see >fault in others, see your own fault". Let us all try that. I know i have not >followed it by criticizing you. Ramesh: Does it mean that a teacher should not see the faults in the students? If that is the case then I do not want people with such mentality teaching my kids.
