34 killed in Jammu. Outrage, talk of war, deportation of the Pak High

Commissoner, Oh War, No! Economic cost! Nuclear holocast, peace, India Pak must

talk. Over the years have seen this sequence so often that I have stopped

expecting anything from the Indian government. What strikes me is -

 

1. It is the Pakis who attack thereby setting the Agenda, the time and place of attack.

 

2. India always responds with a knee jerk reaction that lacks a long term cohesive strategy.

 

3. Pak goes cool and so does India thereafter. Again their actions set the tone.

 

4. There is this inherent Indian read Hindu weakness of wanting to be good boys

and moralistic, unable to take the battle to the enemy camp and think

strategically. Remember the paralysis after the Bangladeshis shot 16 BSF jawans

dead.

 

5. Therefore India becomes a follower rather than a leader.

 

6. This is essentially a war between Hindu India and Muslim Pakistan. Anyone who

thinks that the problem would be solved by giving Pakistan Kashmir or Assam is

living in a fool's paradise. The object is to make the Indian State fail

miserably and eventually establish Muslim rule over India, period.

 

7. When you want to go to War you do not talk about it to the media but just go

ahead and fight when yu think the time is right and do not get swayed by

emotions or rhetoric.

 

8. Friends who has benefited most from Gujarat and Jammu / Kashmir killings.

vicious circle of attacks and retaliation for atleast a week. If the Pakistanis

do not respond satisfactorily, India would take them to task”. On his way

to the airport he addressed an angry crowd of 1 to 1.5 lakhs and made one of

the greatest speeches of his life “ Pledge the safety of Muslim refugees

crossing the city. Any obstacles will only worsen the plight of our refugees

who are already performing the feats of endurance. If we have to fight, we must

fight clean. Such a fight must wait an appropriate time and conditions and you

must be watchful in choosing the ground”.
