Also, since my early years I had been an avid reader of the Vedic literature. Since 1998 I have dedicated myself to spreading the Vedic wisdom primarily among professionals. My scientist background comfortably lets me put forth the Vedic concepts in a rational and scientific manner with adequate rigor. In particular, the program called SCOPE (Short Course on Personality Enhancement) that I developed two years ago has been successful among the corporate bodies here. Besides four theoretical sessions, SCOPE includes practices related to light body exercises, breathing exercises (pranayama), mental relaxation techniques and meditation too. In the last four years I have traveled to Mauritius (1998), Kenya (1999) and the US (2000 and 2001) on extensive lecture tours, over and above the numerous tours within the country, and the audience appreciated my approach of conveying the Vedic teachings. I am fluent in both English and Hindi. > >Last December I presented a paper in the WAVES India conference that reported the excellent feedback that were received from about 1000 or so professional participants of SCOPE program, including some belonging to Muslim and Christian faiths. There Professor BhuDev Sharma (President, WAVES, Inc in USA) appreciated my result-oriented work and encouraged me to present papers in their forthcoming biennial conference at University of Dartmouth, July 12-14, 2002. > >I proposed two titles for the said conference and he has formally accepted their abstracts. Full paper of the first paper is now ready. The second paper is under preparation. He has been kind enough to waive the registration fee for me and has furthermore offered local hospitality during the conference. While he regretted to support my travel through WAVES, he encouraged me to seek the same from you. Knowing that you have been a founder of the Vedic Temple in Atlanta region, I thought it wise to seek your help. Hence this letter. > >Kindly note the following. (1) My paper in the WAVES India conference (Dec 2001) forcefully demonstrated that the Vedic teachings are universal in nature by way of showing the feedback of the Muslim and Christian professionals. (2) My two papers at the WAVES, Inc. conference in Dartmouth, MA (July 2002) will show the scientific basis of Vedic teachings in two important areas, viz. (a) human psychology and our consciousness, (b) universality of Vedic concepts making them suitable to form the foundations of humanism - the future universal religion of the mankind. (3) I have cut short my combustion research career of world standards and have dedicated myself to being a Vedic missionary though I am a householder with three small children. With God's grace and the goodwill of several good people I have just barely manged to come to a point that I can support my family. But last four years were full of struggle with my life time savings evaporate to zero level. Kindly be assured that I am a genuine Vedic preacher and you will not repent if you decide to support me. > >I hereby request you/ your temple to support my travel to the Dartmouth conference. My inquiry with the travel agent here reveals that the most economical fare would be around $1200. I will request you to kindly deposit this amount with Professor Sharma with your instruction to him to pay this sum to me there. If so desired, I would be willing to devote 1-2 weeks of my time in your Vedic Temple or in any organization of your choice. Details of the program, including targeted audience can be discussed later. The dates must be contiguous to the Dartmouth conference of July 12-14, 2002. I have the necessary visa (10-year) to travel to the US. > >My above request is supported by the following documents that are attached herewith: > > a.. SCOPE related progress during 2000-'01: > 1..
