Guest guest Posted September 25, 2002 Report Share Posted September 25, 2002 A message of harmony, as Muslims donate blood to temple victims --- ----------- Shikha Trivedi Thursday, September 26, 2002 (Reporting from): As the injured victims of the Swaminarayan temple attack recover at the hospitals, scores of people have turned up to donate blood. And many among them are Muslims; once again reiterating that blood has no religion. "The majority community can see that the whole Muslim community cannot be held responsible for what happened," said Shafi Memom, social activist. Most of the young men have come unprompted from the walled city. And the doctors at the hospital say that the response is heartening. "Blood is such a thing that there is no religion involved. A blood bank creates communal harmony," insisted Dr Navjot Chowdhary, Prathama blood bank.
