Guest guest
font-family:Arial">We discussed how Hindu’s are attacked/demeaned in India, US, and around the world at our last discussion meeting on Saturday. There were many good issues raised and a call to action. font-family:Arial"> font-family:Arial">Two of the main points taken from the discussion were: tab-stops:list .5in">1) Writing to senators and government representatives and sometimes the offender does work. But only if there are sufficient numbers. The PBS documentary “Soul of India” was changed … as attested to by people who saw the original script and the show that was aired. That only happened because roughly 100,000 letters/emails/faxes were sent to PBS. Most of the time we don’t hear back and never see direct results, but changes to happen behind the scenes. font-family:Arial"> tab-stops:list .5in">2) We need to become a more action oriented society. We need to start banding together and teaching others about what Hinduism really is about. That is the only way that the invertant attacks will be averted. We need to work at stopping attack both preemptively as well as after the fact. font-family:Arial"> font-family:Arial">I also want to take this opportunity to send a rather long essay about “Wendy’s Child Syndrome”. This is an analysis of several rather “popular” essays/papers/PhD Thesis’s that attack Hinduism. Sadly, some of these are written by Hindus. If you have the time, I would highly recommend that you read this. font-family:Arial"> 10.0pt;font-family:Arial">Krishna Attachment: (application/msword) RISA Lila1- Wendy's Child Syndrome.doc [not stored]
