This is a mass mailing of information

that I had sent to my select mailing lists, a couple of days earlier.

Inevitably, there will be some

duplication. Those who already

have seen this material (mostly Hindu and other community leaders) please

delete. The purpose of this

mailing is for all of you to start organized campaigns in your geographical

areas to deny a forum, and deny legitimacy

misrepresenting himself

as the Sankaracharya of Govardhan Peetha, Puri to devout Hindus who are not

knowledgeable.

MAN IS IN THE US NOW AND LAST WEEK WAS ALMOST INVITED WITH FULL PURNA KUMBHA

HONORS BY A TEMPLE IN CALIFORNIA WHICH WAS NOT AWARE OF HIS DISREPUTABLE

BACKGROUND. HE IS DESPERATELY

SEEKING LEGITIMACY FROM INDIANS IN THE US AND ELSEWHERE AROUND THE WORLD.

The size of this mailing and its

avowedly unambiguously advocacy nature will inevitably generate a backlash from

Adhokshajananda supporters, the so-called ecumenical but uninformed liberals.

cup of tea and be ladies and gentlemen all.

I have included two attachments to

this open letter. Attachment One

contains two versions of a letter you can use to write to the Muslim and

Christian groups sponsoring Adhokshajananda.

longer, more scholarly,

and suasive. Please use your

judgment as to which letter or its modification is appropriate in your area.

Attachment Two which is about 50

pages is a comprehensive dossier, deposition style.

yes"> It consists of a long scholarly article on what a

Sankaracharya is, and a chronological collection of press reports on the

peccadilloes of Adhokshajananda.

12.0pt;color:black">Now to give a brief background for those not conversant

with these arcana and why you have to become involved in assertively rebutting

this charlatan. In summary, for

those who do not know, there is a sannyasi, Swami Adhokshajananda from India

who is misrepresenting himself as the Sankaracharya of Govardhan Math,

Puri. He is about 30 years

old. The real Sankaracharya of

Puri is Swami Nischalananda Saraswati who is over 60 years of age, a man

renowned for his piety and intellectual acumen.

This Swami Adhokshajananda’s visit

and funding while in the US seems to have been sponsored by anti Hindu,

partisan fundamentalist Muslim and Christian groups and

pseudo-secularist/Marxist individuals.

At least some of these are of questionable personal and professional

integrity. AFMI (American

Federation of Muslims of India) seems to be a principal sponsor. This is all

ostensibly in the name of

communal harmony.

Swami Adhokshajananda has

been jailed for misrepresentation, and he is under a restraint order from the

Orissa High Court forbidding him to come within 1,000 metres of the Puri

Temple, which he tried to enter by force.

And this is the man that the Muslims and Christians in the US are trying

to palm off on unsuspecting Hindus as a Sankaracharya.
