Guest guest Posted January 16, 2003 Report Share Posted January 16, 2003 Namaskar Mitra, On January 15, 2002 or whereabouts the Supreme Court of India had ordered the Punjab Govt to within one year (ie by 15/1/03) connect by the Sutlej - Yamuna Canal by which waters would reach Haryana. During the run up to the state assembly elections itself the Congress had said that it would not obey the Supreme Court judgement. I must congratulate the state govt for sticking to its word.
