Guest guest
Dear Alexandra, the primary factor of this evolution of taste is the expansion of one's consciousness. No cultivating or struggeling or forcing of one's prefferences is of much lasting help. Cultivation of good habits has certainly some value but the real power is in one's own ATMA, the real Self. So become again what you are and ever have been: the universal Self, Higher Intelligence, Brahman. And then all the virtues are dawning effortlessly in you and around you. Visit a good teacher of meditation. Meditation will lead you within to the source of all good, infinite reservoir of energy and intelligence. For example Dr. Lothar Krenner, a very experienced teacher of Transcendental Meditation from Vienna, can show you the wonder of pure knowledge, the art of transcending everything. Like it is said in the Bhagavad-Gita: Even if you were the worst of sinners, by the raft of knowledge alone, you can cross all evil. or nahi jnanena sadrsham pavitram iha vidyate - NOthing is so purifying as Knowledge Scientific research on Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation confirms the advice of Shri Krishna. Just by experiencing Transcendental pure Consciousness within, all good qualities develop spontaneously. Health is improving, peace is increasing, better thinking, better moral reasoning - all these and more has been researched and published in scientific journals. This deep divine silence is best suited to, as you say, > the body to get accustomed to from tamasic food habits to sattvic food habits How can one change from primarily tamasic food to sattvic food? Are there some rules one should follow when making this change? When one changes one's food habits in this way, the body must learn to cope with an entire different lifestyle. Since rajas is the guna of activity, should one eat in the first time much rajas food in order to make it more easy for the body to get accustomed to the new situation?
