Guest guest
Belarus condemns terrorism, supports India on Kashmir IANS AMRITSAR: Belarus on Friday condemned terrorism in all its manifestations and supported New Delhi's stand that Jammu and Kashmir was an integral part of India. The declaration came from Belarus Ambassador Uladzimir A. Sakalouski while speaking at a meeting organized by Indo-Belarus friendship Association here. He said Belarus remained steadfast in its respect for the territorial integrity of India, of which Kashmir was a solid geographical and political reality. The Belarus ambassador opined "selective approach and double standards are inadmissible in combating terrorism. A terrorist is the enemy of world community whether he acts in Kashmir, Chechnya or in New York". He maintained that killers of innocent civilians could not be termed as freedom fighters. Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, while denying that his country is sponsoring cross-border terrorism in Kashmir, has maintained that he supports what he calls freedom fighters in the frontier state. Sakalouski said Belarus totally supported the draft comprehensive convention on combating international terrorism tabled by India in the United Nations.
