Guest guest
SOURCE http://www.kaumudi.com/yoursay/index.stmStealing our moneyOn 13th March Andhra Pradesh minister for endowments D Sivarama Rajupresented a cheque of Rs 1 cr to Chandra Babu Naidu, for CM's relief fund, from the Tirupati kitty, which is the donation of lakhs of Hindu devotees, for Hindu establishments and Hindu temples. This is a shocking misuse ofmoney we give to our temples and nothing short of day light robbery.Unfortunately, only for Hindus, the funds and temples are being controlledby the politicians. It is more unfortunate because Naidu is seen as ananti-Hindu politician who conducts only Iftar and Christmas party for thevote of minorities and condemns Hindus at every opportunity. Some 584 acresof land of Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam property worth Rs 200 cr isencroached, there were 1000 cases filed against it and even some 30 caseswere won by government, yet the AP government had withdrawn all the cases. One of my relative was the Kerala State Devaswom Board commissioner in thesixties. What I came to know from him was quite shocking. For theappointment of chief priests in some of the well-known temples in the state, the politicians collect huge bribes, the reason being that the chief priestscan collect very large amount of money within a year and they want a shareof it in advance. In Kerala Communists have appointed non-believers and one can guess itseffect on temples. Since my birth I have not seen a single Hinduorganisation or association or trust or anything connected with Hinduism, interacted with me, my family or my known Hindu friends, even though we allhave donated thousands of Rupees to various temples over the years. Hindusare growing up in isolation whereas Christian and Muslim religiousorganizations are always at hand to help them. Hindu establishments in thehands of any government are like entrusting ones property in the hands of abunch of thieves. Returning the religious establishments back to Hindus willprotect the assets, and enable us to have some form of social support forHindus, which is absent at present. Till the law comes up, I advise everyoneto stop putting money in the temple kitty and donate it directly to Hinducharities.COLLECTED BY M.P.BHATTATHIRY -----
