[world-vedic] guidance and direction

Hi, AllI am new to Hinduism and in my quest toward reaching a purer sense of

spirituality. I was wondering if anyone has any good sources or paths which

would help someone new to this way of life? Or know of any good teachers or

gurus who are used to helping beginners in their attainment of knowledge and

this experience. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. This is an information

resource and discussion group for people interested in the World's Ancient

Vedic Culture, with a focus on its historical, archeological and scientific

aspects. Also topics about India, Hinduism, God, and other aspects of World

Culture are welcome.Remember, Vedic Culture is not an artificial imposition,

but is the natural state of a society that is in harmony with God and the

environment.Om Shantih, Harih OmYour use of is subject to the

Yes, I agree. What I am trying to do is find a qualified guru to

help me in my path so to speak. I have read many books and webpages

but need someone who can answer questions. I find that there are

many out there you seem to equate Vaishnavism to just Krishna and I

know that in traditional Hinduism that is not the case. ut neeIt is

much more than about Krishna. I am totally aware that Krishna is

an Avatar but need to dig deeper to the full truth.

Thanks.

Hare Krsna

Krsna is not an avatar but he is the origin of all. he is the supreme

personality of Godhead. Everything is a part and parcel of him. Vaisnavs are

worshippers of Krsna. What do you actually mean by much more than about Krsna?

Krsna is the full truth in himself. Everything is written in the srimad

Bhagavad Gita as it is by his divine grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. I

think you will get all your answers in that book or else there are many other

small literature books by his divine grace Srila Prabhupada which have given

very practical answers and I think that if you read those books you will get a

clear picture of the full truth. All your questions should be answered by those

books. Srila Prabhupada is the greatest Guru and if you want to speak to

someone, there are several self realised gurus in ISKCON who can answer your

questions very well. You can get the books from any ISKCON centre next to you

and also speak to the devotees.

Hare Krsna

I hope this helps.
