Guest guest
from Financialexpress.com Birthday parties are glitzy affairs these days, organised by event managers according to the whims and fancies of children. Mr Sinha recounts a party that he had organised sometime ago. "At one of our parties, the request was for a Krishna theme. The venue was a private garden, which we did up like Vrindavan and had huge cut-outs of Krishna and his brother, Balram. The two-tiered cake was in the form of a village scene with cowherds. There was a lot of green on the cake. It was wheeled out in a palanquin and the birthday child was brought in a basket the way Lord Krishna was carried out of prison by his father. The return gifts were flutes. Now these kind of parties have large budgets ranging from Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000 and are long remembered," says Mr Sinha.
