(Justice, Unity, Spirituality and Truth) Hindu Students Council has taken up a unique project to promote the understanding of Dharma. The word Dharma literally means 'that which holds together' or 'sustains a being' in a harmonious way. Dharma is a combination of forces that sustain life and principles that lead to the path of righteousness. A van, carrying literature and presentation on Dharma will travel to various college campuses across North America. During its visit to each college, several events will be organized by HSC in association with several local religious, spiritual, yoga, vegetarian, environmental, animal and human rights groups to raise the awareness about Dharma. This mission is called Journey for J.U.S.T. (an acronym for Justice, Unity, Spirituality and Truth). Journey for J.U.S.T. started on Sunday, January 26th, 2003 from the Vedanta Society in Hollywood California at 11:45 AM. The event was inaugurated and blessed by Swami Swahananda Maharaj, followed by an inspirational talk by Swami Sarvadevananda Maharaj from the Vedanta Society. After traveling to various campuses in California for about a week, the van will go to Texas and then to Florida. After leaving Florida, it will travel to several campuses in the South, East, and Mid-West and then arrive at Edison, NJ where the Global Dharma Conference is being organized from July 25-27. Over 5,000 people from across the globe are expected to attend this conference. We will distribute literature and promote the understanding of Dharma as it travels. The Journey has been co-sponsored by Bikram's Yoga College of India, Beverly Hills, CA and Hindu University of America, Orlando FL. Student and youth organizations on campus or local organizations interested in participating in this journey and would like to invite the van at their places, are requested to contact: The HSC Office: 617-698-1106 The (J-4-J.U.S.T. - hotline): 201-532-6926 Email: info
