Guest guest Posted August 7, 2003 Report Share Posted August 7, 2003 Wednesday August 6 2003 00:00 IST Revival of `Moghul Tamsa' stressed BHADRAK: For the first time in the district, `Moghul Tamsa Mahotsav' was organised, here recently. Inaugurating the function, organised by the Bhagabati Youth Club at Sahid Smrutee Bhavan, District Collector Rashmi Ranjan Patnaik said `Moughul Tamsa' is one of the oldest folk plays of Orissa and stressed on revival of traditional art forms. The play reflects Hindu-Muslim unity in the 18th century. The works of poet Bansiballav Goswami, the author of Moghul Tamsa was highlighted at the function. Three troupes participated in the three-day mahotsav. Secretary of Bhagabati Youth Club, Gobardhan Prusti was honoured on the occasion.
