Guest guest
Aug .8, 2003 Namaste, Thanks for let us know the problem s resolutions. I am trustee and recently filed petion for a priest for Vedic Templ. Immigration rejected petition because the Monk does not take salary and Immigration wants statement from Organization in India about his Salary. Hindu Monks , priests ,celebate , Brahamcharies do not take salary from the organization which support them ,these people depend on Dakshina or donations. Immigration does not recognize Dakshina ,unless the worrd Salary is mentioned on the letter head of the organization where this Brahmchari, Monk , Hindu Priest is serving for more than seven years. Even though the Hindu organization in India is abonafide registered as non profit Tax exempt religeous organization and supports their lodging , boarding and pays the all utilities and phones etc. How can I convience Immigration that Hindu Monks, Priests, and Brahamchries do not take salay and depend on donation called Dakshina for daily needs ,and most of these daily needs are taken care by many of their devotees. The priest , monk, Brahamchari is in India and has never came to USA. Immigration is denied as the petitioner could not produce a certificate from Indian Instituion wheree this Oradined Hindu Priest, Monk, Brahamchari is stying for more than Five months, he has all credentials, Ordination as priest, Certified Yoga teacher ,Master of Nirukta and is styaing at RISHI ASHRAM. Can Some one help how to approach to US Immigration Deparment as I paln to submit Appeal, (Appeal time is too short, I must reply before August 14, 2003)just because he does not have a certificate that would show that he was taking Salary? Please resopnd immidiately, time is essance, OUR Temple Attorney is already planning to file appeal.
