BELOW IS AN INTERESTING ARTICLE ON THE RISKS OF INTRODUCING GRAINS TO

A CHILD TOO EARLY OR TOO LATE. IT SEEMS THIS CORRELATES WITH THE

HINDU/VEDIC ANNA PRASHNA CEREMONY.(This is a ceremony where the child

is introduced to it's first solid food grains.)

DIABETES: A way to reduce it in babies

Parents, you can cut your baby's odds of type 1 diabetes by sticking

to the recommended schedule of introducing cereals at 4 to 6 months.

Researchers tracked 1,000 healthy babies at high risk of developing

diabetes and reported in the "Journal of the American Medical

Association" that diabetes was four times higher in babies who began

cereals before 4 months, and five times higher in those who began

after 6 months.
