Guest guest
More on Vedic astrology and US elections MESSAGE FROM DAVID FRAWLEY RE: VEDIC ASTROLOGY REPORT ON US ELECTIONS Most Vedic astrologers have predicted a victory for Bush, but not all. For example, Vinay Aditya, who was one of the few astrologers that predicted the Congress win in the last Indian election, has predicted Kerry will win. He has taken the American annual chart into account on this matter. I am not so certain that Bush will win as Kerry has overall a stronger chart, though he is in a weaker period. However, I would certainly like to see Kerry win and so that may cloud my perception. Vamadeva aka Dr David Frawley GWBrennan Re: Vedic Astrology Re:U.S. Presidential Election 2004 Regarding the lively Bush/Kerry controversy. I would like to add my contribution as well. I have recently done a lot of research on the annual new year chart. It seems to me that there is a considerable degree of self-deception in trying to balance fine distinctions against fine distinctions in the charts of the candidates when it is not the whole picture anyway. This is a really major national and international event and mundane astrology can answer it. In fact it should be a recognized principle of astrology that when an event gets to the national level of importance then the annual chart for the nation will show what is happening. This could save astrologers with much better reputations than me from making complete fools of themselves and reducing the status of astrology by using methods which do not work because they do not address the crucial issue. Sanjay Rath has recently written on this at _http://parasara.blogspot.com/_ (http://parasara.blogspot.com/) using the Tithi Pravesha chart, one of the mundane methods, and has come out in favour of Kerry. The annual new year chart or Chaitra Shukla chart will without doubt show exactly what will happen and if you apply the appropriate dasha it will show when it will happen. Other people may be able to read this better than I can, and if I get this wrong it is not the fault of the chart, as it is accurate. The chart data is 20/3/2004 at 17.41.24 hrs in Washington DC Ascendant is Leo 29.43 degrees. The ascendant lord Sun - president - is weak due to the lagna and in the 8th and aspected by Saturn from divisive Gemini. He is with dark Moon repres enting public and they do not like what he is doing. Lord of the tenth is with the evil-doer Rahu in the 9th (12th house of loss in relation to 10th). Lord of 12th is also with the lord of the 1st along with debilitated lord of 11th, all not good news. Lord of 4th - domestic opposition - is in 10th of high office and lord of 9th is Mars, same as lord of 4th and could also represent a senator going from the 9th Senate to the 10th White House. Saturn represents dissatisfied masses and he aspects the ascendant, the fifth of job loss and the lord of the 5th, and the ascendant Lord Sun. Using Shripati house calculation he goes from 11th to 10th. Saturn also represents harsh judgement and forced decisions and I think it is possible that Kerry will get to the White House backed by a court decision made on behalf of the public. Either that or there is just a sudden rush for Kerry. Mars Dasha - compressed Vimshottari works on every chart I have tried - begins on 1st November and indicates both strife and victory for the opposition party, especially as Mars gives his results quickly. If anyone can read a Bush victory from this I would be delighted to hear the argument. I have worked a lot with the annual charts also. Comparing charts of candidates can be too narrow a consideration. The annual chart for USA is quite bad for 2004 and appears worse in 2005. It is easy to see major national upheavels in such charts. 2005 chart shows a total eclipse of the Sun as Ascendant lord in the eighth house. If 2004 indicates a bad year for the president, whoever gets elected seems headed for a difficult time. Ammachi also predicted a major national disaster for the US in 2005. Yet dharmically speaking Kerry's chart has a strong Jupiter (guru) in the tenth house. The chart of Bush is dominated by Saturn and Mars.
