We are gratified by your enthusiastic support to

IDRF, enabling us to give grants to several NGOs during

2003-2004. Congratulations to all of you for your generosity. However, there is

no room for complacency as the task ahead is indeed immense.

We must continue working together with much greater empathy, humility and

solicitude so that the challenges facing the poor and the underprivileged

regarding receiving proper education and medical care, and accomplishing

self-empowerment and social harmony are effectively met.

Let the IDRF motto, ?Nar Seva: Narayan Seva? (Service to Society is Service to

God) be embraced by each one of us, pledging to serve the needy and the

downtrodden to the best of our potential. IDRF strives to help the people

realize their full potential and lead a life with dignity, self-esteem and

happiness.

IDRF remains committed to remit 100% of your contributions to the grassroots

non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Sample Projects selected for 2005

Shri Ved Mandir, Ambphala, Jammu.

Focus - helping the children affected by terrorism in J & K. Runs orphanages,

old age homes, medical clinics.

Project: construction of balika niketan ? girls orphanage.

Vanavasi Ashram Trust, Waynad, Kerala.

Focus - child education in tribal areas of Kerala. Runs a residential school

with about 402 children.

Project: Construction of a ten-bedded hospital and supporting

boarding/lodging/other expenses for high school children.

Seva Bharathi, Vijayawada, AP.

Focus - Child education in rural and tribal areas of Andhra Pradesh

Project: 50 One Teacher Schools (OTS) in Khammam district, AP.

National Sanitation & Environment Improvement (NASA) Foundation

Focus: aimed to eliminate filth & disease by implementing sustainable schemes of

pay-and-use toilets and recycling human refuse into energy generating devices

such as gas powered electricity etc.

Sewa Bharati, Jammu & Kashmir

Focus: Kargil and Leh-Laddakh are underdeveloped regions of Jammu and Kashmir

state. Sewa Bharati has planned to start Computer Training Centers at Kargil

and Leh for the benefit of students from deprived sections of the society. Sewa

Bharati is seeking one time financial support of Rs. 5 Lakh each for the

establishment of these centers.

Focus: Sewa Bharati Madhya Bharat, Bhopal is running several hostels for tribal

and poor students at different places in M.P. and Chattisgarh states. Residents

of these hostels are provided with boarding, lodging and good educational

facilities. They are admitted to the best possible educational institutions.

Special coaching classes, individual attention and motivational lectures are

the inputs that they can cope with the pressure of competition.

Sewa Bharati Madhya Bharat is seeking financial support of Rs. 15 Lakhs per

annum to run its hostels.

Deendayal Research Institute

Focus: DRI is running its integrated rural development project in villages in

Satna District of Madhya Pradesh. SSDs (Samaj Shilpi Dampati) are selected and

trained to work in these villages. DRI is seeking financial support to expand

this project to more villages by selecting more SSDs in future.

Project: Rural Development Project

Rastothan Parishad, Bangalore

Focus: The project is aimed at building an education center for the entire North

Karnataka Region, introducing a unique way of education to imbibe high moral in

the younger generation with CBSC Curriculum blended with Panchamukhi Shikshana.

Project: Rashtrothana Vidya Kendra, Neeralkatti village, Dharwad, Karnataka
