Dear Ram Rani ji,

Congratulations on your Pakthunistan trip !

Gandhari, mother of Kauravas comes from Kandhahar(Gandhar).

Shakuni, brother of Gandhari and the cunning uncle of the Kauravas brings his

mountain troops on behalf of Kauravas to fight aganist the Kashi and Naga

mountian troops of the Pandavas.

Pathuns fought on both sides of Mahabarat war, the present pastuns are the

decendants of the Pandavas.

Greetings from Pakistan,

I just came back from Peshawar where I met some incredible people from

Pakhtunkwa and Afghanistan. They are followers of Ghaffar Khan and strong

opponents of Taleban.

I was told that Pathans (Paktuns) are mentioned in the Mahabharata. Vrin, or

Geoffrey or some of my friends there, can you please send me that reference?

In what context are they mentioned in the Mahabharata? Why and in what capacity

are they mentioned?

Please send me the reply directly to my email address and not just to the

list... U am not checking my email too much and that way I don't miss it.
