Sure, NRIs might be watching them (but mostly for Nostalgic reasons) and even sustaining Bollywood, but the number of people getting brainwashed in India is phenomenal. If you look at percentages of people who would actually make Bollywood as beacon of hope and a guide for their lifestyle and decisions, it will be a mind blowing number in India, not UK or US. Imitation is a form of flattery, it is pointless in aping Bollywood, and demeaning to Hindutva; to copy dance n smut & Hindu Muslim eloping, Christian ass licking, mindless westernization, current Bollywood routine to promote Hindu culture - philosophical, political or anything of a serious nature, related to Hinduism. There is nothing originality in Hindi films, all Hindi films are poor imitation of English films. There is hardly any Hindi film which brings glory to Bharat.BURN BOLLYWOOD!! It's a known fact that NRI's are the biggest supporters of Bollywood. Even a ridiculous film like Veer Zaara was a massive hit in UK and USA. But we'll stop at that. Because of this would be an argument similar to what's first, the egg or the chicken.... Anyways, logically speaking it's very easy to make silly statements like "burn Bollywood" or "ban Bollywood" but it is fact that there are major returns from the Hindi film industry which the Maharashtra government benefits from. Agreed there is a mafia Bollywood nexus. But what we can do is get more serious and honest filmmakers into the Hindi film industry. There are many many staunch Hindutva film makers around, fund them, and give them a chance. Yes the song and dance routine in Bollywood is so puerile but people enjoy it. So use this format as a platform and promote Indian folk dances and Hindutva. Why is it we always think in the negative form? Hindi media make something negative positive! Even the name of Hindi films is not given in Hindi in the cast of the films. In the film industry, media people rather than giving the cast of Hindi film in Hindi even do not bother to give the name of Hindi film in Hindi. In Hindi film Insaan, even the name of film is not written in Hindi. Hindi Film Bullet producer has not given the name of Hindi film in Hindi. About 50% Hindi film producers do not bother to give the name of Hindi film in Hindi. On the DVD covers, there is one section, where it is written: like catalogue No., Title, Running Time, Sound, Regions, and Sub-Title. On all sides of the cover of DVD, name of Hindi film is written in English. At one time, there used to be section, language of film, where word Hindi was mentioned. But that section has been abolished. That section has been replaced by the word title, where again name of film is written in English. What is the point in making a special section for writing the name of Hindi film in English when all around on all four sides already name of film is already written in English? Film industry has abolished the word Hindi from Hindi films. No where nagri script written is shown in Hindi films. Even though the movie theatre attendance in India may have gone down recently, in proportion to theatre prices going up sky-high, this is probably more than made up by watching pirated videos and DVD's of Bollywood movies at home by the school/college youth and even bored housewives. Even the lady of the house often does not like being disturbed by unexpected guests because of this addiction, not to speak of teen youth during their vacation period. The intent to point out the glaring omission in the ad of the usual trash propagated by that ghastly cancer called Bollywood. As we all know, thanks to a deliberate design of anti Hindu, anti national & psec forces, Bollywood has almost succeeded in eradicating Bharat's indigenous culture. Bharat's traditional arts & music have been contaminated by vulgar and entirely un -Indian filth which the masses are devouring like there was no tomorrow. The lullabies glorifying the virtues & bravery of Rama & Lakshman Maa Jijabai sang to her infant Shivaji are replaced with alien tunes from Bollywood. On the name of celebration of events connected with Bollywood film, many times funds are collected. Does anyone know where are the funds going? Remember to ask questions first before donating a penny to anyone. As we are seeing from media and internet reports in the US, some of the "charities" such as AID are alleged to be helping commies wreck havoc in Bharat. The Maoists in Nepal are getting their moral & financial from sympathizer Commies in India as recently reported. Professionalism mangta: "Hollywood works with bound scripts. Everyone is treated equally. At lunch time, no one jumps the line, even the director," says Om Puri, who has worked overseas. "Unless Bollywood shows more professionalism, there will be no synergy in projects," says scriptwriter Jaydeep Sahni. Write it right: The script is the last of Bollywood's priorities; originality is rare. "Scriptwriters need to experiment," says director Sanjay Ghadvi, "Sanjay Leela Bhansali does so; Aditya Chopra produced Dhoom and Hum Tum within months of each other. These people have the guts to change track, others must follow." Growing, growing, and growing! Says trade analyst Taran Adarsh: "Now, 250-275 prints are sent overseas from the 3-4 prints of 15 years back." Director Suneel Darshan says, "NRIs apart, the whole of Asia is receptive to Indian cinema." --------- Bhagwan Amitab http://photogallery.indiatimes.com/articleshow/msid-881194,voteid-881995,type-0.cms Fans of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan celebrate the 62nd birthday of their film idol in Ahmedabad on Monday, October 11, 2004. Yes, yes, with folded hands and eyes closed. Is this where "Hinduism" is headed? Ram & Krishna chucked out of the alter and replaced with Bollywood goons? How easy it is to convert these daft people! Economic growth does not put a country at the forefront of the world order, it requires much more than that. Does Bharat possess those qualities? We should try to understand the question. A large number of analysts have discussed in detail about the poverty, corruption and moral degradation aspects, which are serious obstacle towards our progress. ------- http://www.dawn.com/2005/01/19/letted.htm Indian filmsDawn's New Delhi correspondent has reported that President Pervez Musharraf has been presented with a copy of the Indian film Mughal-i-Azam. The film produced by the late K. Asif was acclaimed as one of the greatest films made in India. Unfortunately the film has not been shown in Pakistani cinemas because of a ban on screening Indian films. Paradoxically, Dilip Kumar, the legendary hero of Mughal-i-Azam was decorated with the highest national award, the "Nishan-i-Imtiaz". The decision to ban Indian films had disastrous effects on the Pakistani cinema. Indian films had provided popular entertainment to millions of cinemagoers. The Pakistani audiences were denied a view of their matinee idols on the screen. Their interest in the cinema waned and this led to the closure of many a cinema hall. Our decision-makers lost sight of the fact that Indian films have kept Urdu alive among the common man in India. The Indian film industry has been a source of livelihood for a large number of Urdu poets, storywriters, artists, directors, etc. Indian films would not only revive Pakistan's cinemas but also give an impetus to our film industry by opening up a vast Indian market. SYED AFZAAL HUSAIN ZAIDI Islamabad Our decision-makers lost sight of the fact that Indian films have kept Urdu alive among the common man in India. The Indian film industry has been a source of livelihood for a large number of Urdu poets, storywriters, artists, directors, etc. How true, Janaabji! One might add here also that while URDU has been "kept alive among the common man in India"; the Indian "fillum" industry has put to death the rich cultural heritage of the people of Bharat. To cite a couple of examples, traditional marriage songs are now replaced with cheap and adulterated trash from Bollywood and the kind of lullabies that Maa Jijabai sang for Shivaji are now confined to the dustbins of history. In their place, the Indians are humming the tunes rendered by that over fed Paki fatso called Adnan Samy! Janabji forgot to mention the Muslim goons such as DawoodIbrahim, Haji Mastaan, et al, that have become millionaires via their "underworld" channels to the "fillum" industry. These same goons provide an unending source of funds that support the favorite Jihadi past times of the Paki and other more- than- willing jihadi outfits that enjoy blowing up a train here or a bus there, massacre a few Hindus at Akshardham or Vaishni Devi or just plain old blow up the Indian Parliament! All this under the "heavily greased" watch of the Indian police? And Bollywood is now pursuing "joint" ventures with the bankrupt Paki fillum industry? Me, I don't get it. Folks, its "Dum Maro Dum" for Mera Bharat Mahaan! Hindi films spread more Urdu and English languages in the world than Hindi language. Hindi films bring shame to Bharat and Hindi film industry and Hindi media needs to be destroyed Shame on all kinds of Hindi media people who spread more Urdu and English rather than Hindi. ========
