Guest guest
http://www.chinats.com/quanzhou/image/12020205itd.jpg This Vedic/Hindu carving was taken from a temple and inlaid into the wall of a house on the outskirts of Quanzhou.Local people worship it as an image of Guanyin, a Chinese Buddhist deity. http://www.chinats.com/quanzhou/image/12020201itd.jpg This carving depicts the unusual combination of an angel and a Buddha (I am convinced that this is a representation of a Vishnu/Garuda combination. This is obvious when one takes into account Japanese versions of these dieties. Vrn)
