Guest guest
Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama: Respected Members, I have a doubt regarding our sampradayam since a long time. In Yamunacharya's (Alavandar) famous "gItArtha Sangraham" he gives the gist of gIta in one verse. "svadharma gnAna vairAgya sAdhya bhakthi eka gocara: ! nArayana: param brahma gItA sAstrE samIrita: !!" This means that Ultimately, it is only Bhakti that reasults in a liberation of a soul('Bhakthi eka') However, In Mumookshapadi in Sarama Sloka Prakaranam verse 195, Swami Pilliai Lokachar says all the margas as mentioned in srutis like Nama Sankeertanam, Bhakthi etc has to be left and one needs to 'Surrender'(Saranagathi) for one's liberation. How do we reconcile between these 2 divergent opinions? Is it I am missing anything? I humbly request our members to clarify this.
