So, the hood that we see, as well as the coils are part of svAmi's thirumEni itself. In fact, one can see that in older vigrahams of periya jIyar, where the hood will be part of the back side of svAmi's thirumEni. a:zhva:r emperuma:na:r ji:yar thiruvadigaLe: saraNam, adiyEn rAmAnuja dAsan Listen to your Mail messages from any phone. http://phone. Guest guest
Swamin Adiyen Gunaseelan would like to share some thing reg the Bhakti and Prapatti, I did have lot of doubts in this context before hearing the Upanyasam of Swamy Velukudi Krishnan and after that I think by His blessings some fundamental concepts are clear. If any one wants to hear once more, let me request Sri Mukundan to put the same in the Online , that will be really usefull. Swamy was telling about 10 diffs between Prapatti/Bhakti here are the few as my memory is really poor 1) Athikaram- Bhakthi can be performed only by certain people( has to pass thru Karma and Gnana Yogams) but Prapatti can be done by all inrespective of cast/cree/race etc. 2)Bhakthi is a type of forcing upon(vithi vAkiyam) and Prapatti is the one adopted by love(Acharya ruchi parikritham) and not forced upon. 3)Bhakthi is "Saathiyo Upayam" and Prapatti is "Sitho Upayam" 4)Anthima Smrithi- Bhaktha has to remember Him always but for Prappana the task is His responsibility 5)Bhakti is Asethanam and Prapatti is Parama Sethanam 6) For Bhakthan "Karmaavathane" Moksham and for Prapanna "Dhehaavathene" Moksham 7)Bhakti requires support from other things as Karma and Gnana Yogams but Prapatti does not depend on other , it can thrive on its own. 8)Bhakthi is Swaroopa Virothi ( Seshasthvam and PAranthanthriyam breached) and Prapatti is Swaroopa Anukoolam( goes hand in glove with both the above) 9)Bhakthi can only request some one(Him) to grant Moksham but Prappati itself (He) can give Moksham 10)Bhakti adopts an inferior method "Asethana" to reach Moksham compare to Prappati adopting ParamaSethana(He) to reach Him. Hope I just covered the list ...
