dear bhagavathas,

 

I request members to help us with some administrative

details.

 

1. Introduction(s):

We wish to maintain a list of all members in the

list (not just email addresses), with pertinent

details. We also wish to have a brief introduction

about each member of this list. To that end, I

request you to email a brief intro to the list.

I will send a brief intro about myself that can

serve as some sort of a template for the details

required about each member.

 

2. New member(s):

Please do your best to invite more

people to this list. The only requirement(s) we have

is that the new members are interested in learning

about the ramanuja sampradaya, and hold ALL acharyas

of the sampradaya with regard, and not bring in

sectarian thoughts and viewpoints to the list. We will

 

have an approval mechanism as always, with one of the

three moderators approving the addition of the member

into the list.

 

3. Moderators:

As such, we have 3 moderators - "moderator", in the

administrative sense only so far. They are Mukundan

(dap), TVVenkatesh (tvv1) and

myself (tavaradhan). Our goal is to

reduce the amount of crosstalk and frequency jamming

that crosses the list.

Dear Sri Vaishnavas,

 

I would like to add up to the request of Sri Varadhan. At present, we are

running this list only for people who follow the Ramanuja sampradhAyam in

the lineage upto swAmi maNavALa mAmunigaL. (this is the so called

thennAchArya sampradhAyam. Actually the true ramanuja sampradhAyam). So

please keep this in mind while inviting others. We are planning to throw

open, this list, for public once the momentum is gained and the

contributions become regular. This will take some days.

 

Second request is regarding the sectarian thoughts. Yes, this group does

NOT encourage the sectarian thoughts and mails. However, mails can be

posted regarding the disputes that are arising with interest only in just

making others know of the problems and find a solution with The

Divadampathis' grace. No unparliamentary words are allowed. Well this may

raise your eyebrows as to what is the difference. The difference is as

follows;

 

A Sectarian thought is purely a superiority complex, which is not

encouraged. Means, no bad words or humiliating words about the great

acharyas or the other Sri Vaishnavas of the other sect. However, errors in

their Sri Sukthis as pointed out by our AchAryAs is allowed to be posted

for the purpose of ourselves gaining the knowledge and also to know, how

flawless is the true Ramanuja sampradhAyam.

 

The last important point is, in our list, we will describe our sampradhayam

as only Ramanuja sampradhayam (in its true form) and not the later day

nomenclature of Thennacharya sampradhayam.

 

Any difference in views or additional suggestions are welcome from the

members. As Sri Varadhan has said, the moderators are only for the

administrative purpose. Good things can be said by all and shall be

accepted by all. Please note , we are not controlling this list in any

way, other than for admin purposes. That is why this list is an unmoderated

list. The main reason, for keeping this list as unmoderated is to cultivate

the humiliation among ourselves as a discipline and henceforth set

standards to all Sri Vaishnavas. So please abstain from using any bad

language even while pointing out other's mistake. The bhAvam that we should

have is the " naanEthAn aayiduga" bhAvam as wonderfully said by Soodik

koduttha sudar kodi naachiyaar. Please remember "NaichyAnusandhAnam"

should be the most prominent character of a true Sri Vaishnavite. After all

we are the followers of great swAmy nampiLLai, whose naichyAnusandhAnam is

very famous, which earned him the name "lOkAchAryA".
