Guest guest Posted December 4, 2001 Report Share Posted December 4, 2001 Sri : SrImathE RaamAnujAya Namaha AzhwAr EmperumAnAr Jeeyar TiruvadigalE Saranam Dear Perunthagayeer, The annual Balaji Brahmotsavam festival was celeberated at Jakarta Balaji Temple with great devotion on 1st and 2nd of December, 2001. The function was led by Shri Anathakrishnan and Shri Seshadri. We had the graceful presence of a Vaishnava Acharya who led the pooja and a Vaishnava Scholar (Shri Acharyalu who heads the Navajeevan Trust in Tirupathi) who came from India to participate. On 1st evening, Veda Goshti held Veda Parayanam followed by Sahasranama Archanai and Harinama Sangeerthanam and Devotional songs. On 2nd morning, starting from Suprabatham at 6.00 a.m., Sri Sudarshana Homam was held. Thereafter Tirumanjanam to Perumal was held amidst chanting of Sookthams, Sri Mahanarayana Upanishad followed by Divya Prabandham and Sattumurai. The alankaram was done by Smt. Shanti Seshadri, Smt. Sita Kumar, Smt. Kumudani Sukumaran and it was divine feast to the eyes of the Bakthas present there. As against the schedule completion time of 12.30 p.m., the function went until 2.30 p.m. and even then the Bakthas profounded by the endless beauty of Sriman Naryana waited very patiently for the alankarm to complete and the crowd did not disperse for a very long time. The function was attended by over 250 bakthas from all places in Indonesia. I am enclosing a few pictures as a feast for your eyes.
