Guest guest
Dear friends, namaskarams to you all. In Sriman Vaiyakarana Ramanuja Iyengar's telugu commentary on Stotraratnam, an outcaste is defined from the following quotation from Sastras: yah putrah pitaram dvEshti tam vidyAt antya rEtasam yO vishNuh satatam dveshti tam vidyAt antya rEtasam the pesron who hates his father and the person who always hates Lord vishnu (The Omnispresnt) are to be known as antya jAti samudbhUtas i.e. those of lowly birth. So one's caste is to be determined by one's guNas and karmas, as gItAchArya very clearly says, and not by the parents to whom one is born. If a person belonging to the deprived sections of our society is given confidence by telling him that "you are the greatest of vaidikOttamas once Sriyahpati nArAyaNa enters your mind", "mA Suchah", that person will not find any reason to convert to a non-vedic religion for want of social justice. We have organizations like iSKCON, but their target is rich foreign countries and hi-fi academic institutions in India like BITS, IITK. when will the divine message of Alwars reach the masses of India, the country which had a gloroius past? only when He wishes it to reach.
