ka: srI: Shriya: paramasatvasamAshraya: ka:

ka: puNDarIka nayana: purushOttama: ka:|

kasyAyutAyuta shataika kalAmsha kAmshE

vishvam vichitra chidachit pravibhAgavrittam

||

 

Shriya: - to mahAlakshmi,

ShrI: - wealth,

ka: - who(else)?,

parama - most supreme,

satva - pure satva guna,

samAshraya: - possessing a divine body that shelters,

ka: - who (else but You)?

purushOttama - the supreme being,

ka: - who (else but You)?,

kasya - which,

ayuta ayuta shata Eka kalA amshak amshE -

(here the terms "ayutAyuta" according to

"shatam sahasra mayutam sarvamAnamtya

vAchakam" refer to infinity) an infinitesimal

fraction

vishvam - the innumerable worlds ,

chit achit - chEtana and achEtana,

pravibhAgavrittam - "svaroopa", "stiti",

"pravritti",

Bhavati - become.

 

tAtparyam:

 

One who is the source of divine wealth of

SrimahAlakshmi is SrimannArAyana, being a shelter

for "shuddha tatva" by taking up a body that is

nothing but "shuddha tatva" is also SrimannArAyana,

He is the most superior being, the Lotus Eyed One.

Those known as Bramha, Rudra and Indra in this world

are all created by srimannArAyana. If His greatness is

 

divided into ten thousand parts and one such part is

further divided into ten thousand parts and one of

these parts is divided into one hundred parts and a

small portion of one these parts is taken, in that

the entire universe comprising Bramha, Rudra and Indra

 

are embedded.
