yadanDam anDAnthara gOcharam cha yath

dashOththarANi AvaraNAni yAni cha |

guNA: pradhAnam purusha: param padam

parAthparam Brahmacha thE vibhUthaya: ||

 

yath - which (is known to be the originating

place of four faced brahma)

anDam - universe

andAnthara - in the midst of the universe

gOcharam - visible

yath cha - that which exists

dasha uttarANi - ten times more

AvaraNAni - elements such as water, fire etc

yAni cha - those also

guNA: - satva, rajas and tamO gunAs

pradhAnam - nature

puruSha: - individual souls

parampadam - paramapadam (srI vaikunTam)

parAtparam - superior to every one

Bramha cha - divine body adorned with

auspicious outfits, ornaments

and weapons

tE - Your

vibhootaya: - will be ruled by and are under control

 

tAtparyam:

 

The universe known to be the originating place of

bramha, all matter in that universe, the ten-fold

increasing five elements namely earth,water,fire,

air and space, the three gunAs - satva, rajas and

tamas, the non-sentient(prakriti) and the

sentient(inidividual souls), those always

residing in the Paramapada(nityAs), those souls

who after liberation attained Paramapada (mukthAs),

Your divine body - all these being Your property,

are protected by You and are under Your control.

 

Note: daSa uttarANi AvaraNANi: Per our tradition,

there are numerous classifications of space

surrounding our earth - Each one of the outer ones

is 10 times in magnitude larger than the inner

ones - All such classifications of space are

represented by "daSa uttaraNANi AvaraNANi ca"
