adiyAl would like to be added as a sponsor towards Dhivya Desams service (Rs

5000 Pm)

But please restrict my name as a sponsor with the VEDICS list only, i do not

want to get

solicitations from all other groups.

 

In the past adiyAl had used SVSS to route funds for various projects in India,

but since they are very

busy with various other kainkariyams, it took several reminders and followups

before the money

reached the destinations (in most cases the money reached the destination but

very late)

 

With VEDICS, as long as there is a follow thrugh of funds and follow up in India

to make sure

the funds are spent for the causes listed, please count me in. (If there is tax

exemption, it is welcome)

 

Mukundan, please add me in for Thirunangur if its still available, if not please

add me to the next

available kainkariyam.

Adiyen wish to add few more points to the above mentioned Kaimkaryam, I do

know about the Nangoor DDs and the situation is really bad to the extent

that few temples does not have even proper amenities( I dont want to

elaborate further and demean ourselves in keeping the Sriyapathy in such a

situation now where once "nalayaram Andanar Vazhum Nangoor")

 

And wish to go by what Smt. Chitra Madhavan had told, am interested in the

contribution through VEDICS but not thru SVSS, because various other

priority they set.

 

Also while replying to Mr.Ravi's query I think we should pool any amount

that a member can contribute .

 

Sri.Mukundan - pl count on me also and also I will try to make an appeal to

few more local people to get more funds soon.

AdiyEn was mentioning SVSS because that was

the only organization I was aware of for such

purposes. If VEDICS can take care of the

kainkaryam then we can use the same. The main

point was that we need a central gathering

facility to collect the funds quarterly (I

think monthly will be tough to run) and forward

it to an authority in India. Those in India can

also remit the funds to the same person/organization

(that should address Sri Ravi's query). They

can then forward it to the appropriate divyadEsams.

 

This way, if someone wants to committ the whole

amount for one particular divyadEsam they can

do that, while those that want to send in smaller

amounts can contribute together for a divyadEsam.

 

Meanwhile adiyEn too will check around locally to

gather additinal funds for this project.

I have also had similar experineces with SVSS and dont know if the funds reached

the specified kainkaryam at all. It would be good if Vedics can get a TAX ID of

its own and directly send the funds to India rather than thru SVSS. I would also

like to contribute whatever I can as long as there is no lower limit etc.

Dear SrI Mukundan Pattangi,

I am also interested in contributing some amount for the divya desams

regularly.I would like to know whether group/pool contributions are

possible as my contribution would be small.As suggested by SrI Venkatesan

there can be a centralized gathering facility where funds from all sources

can be collected.The members can specify regarding their commitment fully/

partly for a divya desam.This way more members will be inclined to join.

Also if there is any surplus then that amount can be collected over some

time and put it in Fixed deposit and sufficient amounts generated as

surplus over a period of time could generate some resonable interest which

can be used to partly/fully support forthcomming Divya desam

support projects.
