Respected Ramanuja Bhaktas,

Today marks one of the most celebrative occasions in the SriVaishnava

tradition, Panguni Pushyami, the Thirunakshatram (appearance day) of

Chelva Pillai, Sampath Kumaran, the Lord in the form of Bhagavad Sri

Ramanuja's Blessed Son.

Just a few hours from now, scores of devotees from all over India

will gather at the temple of Thirunarayanan at Melkote to behold the

majestic vision of Sri Sampath Kumaran adorned with a diamond-studded

crown, Vairamudi. The Lord ceremonially turns in almost a full

circle in order to cast His Divine Glance and Beautiful Smile upon

all who have gathered to see Him.

Although the vast majority of us can only be there in spirit, let us

make an effort to keep Chelva Pillai and His foster father, Bhagavad

Sri Ramanuja in our thoughts and prayers today.
